This cozy restaurant near Patriarchy prudi named after Bulgakov's Master and Margarita serves traditional Russian food. The decorations are something special as the show they offer while you eat. Live music performed by students of music brings the added value which mind you is added to the bill: 100 roubles per person. Food was very good and service as you could expect in a Russian restaurant. The idea of interactive music performance and decor is special but this time the musicians lacked enthusiasm and service was below my expectations hence my average rating.

Close to famous Patriarch Ponds on Malaya Bronnaya street. Authentic comfortable cafe which alludes to Bulgakov's "Master and Margarita" novel!

We went to have night meal (not formal dinner) with some local friends and that was a very special experience. Alive high quality music, good vodka and apetizers, good food and precious decoration. Very good as a taste of Russia with a mix between familiar and international! PS. Th onle but is that they don't accept cards.

No Michelin stars here, but if you are in the area - opposite the Patriarch Ponds - you can't beat it for a 'business lunch'. tasty food - and honest staff. I asked for the plov and was advised strongly against it. The photos supplied by other reviewers suggest it is a lively place in the evening.
