Cons: its on a 5 floor and elevator is working as follows-Mo-Fr - 08:30-18:30, Sa-Su - out of service! A bit hard to find unless you use Google street view. Pros: very close to center and underground station. Very quiet place. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Staff is excellent.

The area is good and the "hotel" in close to the metro station, just 3 minutes walking distance. However it is very difficult to find it either on foot or by car, since it is inside a small road, and without signs, only on the entrance door. it is located on the fifth floor of an office building. entrance does not looks like a hotel entrance, just like a normal entrance of an old building. Most of the times you cannot use the elevator, since it works only between morning hours and 19:00 for guests. (because of a building agreement). usually there is a guard inside, for the building. the hotel has a receptionist 24 hours. room was acceptable with a window, wi-fi and satellite TV. My recommendation is to stay there only as a last solution and just for a few days. Get a very-very detailed map of the area (or print from google maps) before you go there, will save you a lot of time

Room Tip: I had No 4, and was acceptable

Apart from being a short 10 minute walk from Red Square, this hotel is terrible.

Firstly, there is no elevator for people, so you'll have plenty of fun walking up 5 flights of stairs. We checked out early, before the luggage lift opened, meaning that we had to carry 2 large suitcases down 5 stories of stairs...

Secondly, we made the mistake of ordering breakfast on the first day (200 rubles). One of our family members was served expired yoghurt, and we were served microwaved crepes.

Thirdly, our bathroom flooded each time we used the shower... Further, the hotel didn't change our towels at all for the 5 days we were there - even though most were wet from trying to dry the bathroom.

Finally, our double bed had only a single bed sized blanked for two adults to share. Our family members in a different room had the same experience.

We stayed here in April 2011 and had a wonderful time. Breakfast was included even though it wasn't specified in our booking from booking.com. Great value for money. The owner even got up to open the door for us when we arrived back very late one evening, we felt very embarrassed, yet she was friendly and non-judgemental. Don't forget to carry their phone number in case this should happen to you!
So close to the Kremlin.
A bit hard to find, in the centre of a block, in behind other buildings. Take a good Google map with you.
