“big disappointment.....”
Reviewed April 26, 2013

I have been to that hotel for couple of nights, but I had really big disappointment.Especially people in the reception were rude and they are not creating solution for the problem. The room was also under average.
Also the place of the hotel is far from the city center.

I just liked the restaurant and people who works in the restaurant, they are polite and helpful...and really prepared so nice food for us...

The reception is understaffed, ther services that are offered are not available (wifi , gym, business center). The room has a bathroom soviet style. No remote control for the TV, the mini bar is locked and available only upon deposit payment. The bar at the front desk is not attended. The location is totally inconvenient , far away from metro station and the shuttle takes 30 minutes to reach the Crocus Expo Center.

Stayed at this hotel due to proximity of work place and star rating. I would not recommend staying at this establishment, It is too far from the centre, they made the bed but did not change the sheets which renders their service reliability as awful, untrusted, they were supposed to put water each day in the room, they didn't, the room isn't clean and overall service is poor.

Breakfast is ok. Smoking at the very small lobby is sickening. You are greeted with a cloud of smoke.

They don't speak English, what is worse is that they pretend to understand you but end up ignoring you. They either think we are stupid or they just don't give a damn about their guests.

Stay at a youth hostel, just as good and cheaper.

Unfortunatley this is a hotel with potential but doesn't meet 4 star standards.

Location-not great.. It's approx 20-25min train ride to area of Red Square (incl 1 change) & approx 15min walk from station to hotel on busy road. However the metro is fairly easy to navigate & it's cheap.

We were in standard room which was nice. Wifi worked & had hot showers. Only downside was no aircon so made for uncomfortable sleep (open window bought in flies & mozzies).

Service was good, all spoke enough English. Breakfast had it all (cereals, fruit & cooked) but wasn't replenished and area was a little unclean).

Tried to go to hotel restaurant for dinner however was told it was closed (7pm Saturday night). Other restaurant was ok but a little overpiced.

"Business centre" is a computer in their office.. They will print things for you though.

Overall, it may be wise to pay the extra to stay in the city.

New property. Clean rooms with decent furniture. Out of the way a bit...as you need a ride to the closest Metro stop. NOBODY speaks English. Food all over the property costliest than one can imagine. Breakfast : One has to attend early to get everything including crockery....strange !!! WiFi is okay.
You get what you pay....nothing more.
They can do way better with this property if they want. Good luck

Although the room is standard, the service do not match with a 4 stars hotel. Most of the workers do not speak (or at least understand) english. Besides, for dinner, in the restaurant I had to wait more than 45 minutes for the appetizer.
Also it seems they do not care if they do not understand english and make no effort to satisfy the customer.
Definetly, not a 4 stars hotel.

I can't really think of any good points about this hotel. I suppose the receptionist was friendly enough and spoke English. The lobby was nice. The (single) bed must have been ok because I don't remember being annoyed by it.
One thing I'll mention (even though it shouldn't matter) is that they hotel had a very large tourist party from Germany the days I was staying. I say it shouldn't matter because they should have been prepared but they clearly weren't.
The receptionist was pretty much the only person in the hotel that spoke English. There was one other lady I came across - in one of the restaurants - that also spoke English. It was very difficult to sort any problems out or get questions answered without using the receptionist as an interpreter.
The prices in the restaurant are the highest I've ever paid and I'v been to a few places, including Oslo in Norway. €14 ($18) for a small (starter portion) bowl of soup in my room. It wasn't even nice. The soup was way too salty and the bread was stale.
When I asked if they had the price correct, they showed me the menu with the price in it. To be fair they did send up a complimentary slice of some sort of cake after I'd complained. I couldn't put the $18 soup on my room tab either. They insisted on me paying cash. It was lucky that the cash machine was working when I was there otherwise who knows what they would have done.
The second restaurant is Middle Eastern but the food also not anything to write home about.
It doesn't help that this hotel is out in the middle of nowhere. I didn't see any shops or restaurants nearby that I could go to as an alternative to the rip-off restaurants.
The shower was weak and temperamental, blowing hot and then cold. Te room was dark because of the carpet.
Although breakfast was supposed to be included, there was no crockery or cutlery with which to serve oneself. There were no coffee cups for coffee and I saw people (the lucky ones) drinking orange juice out of large beer steins. I ended up having a banana in my room and no drink.
The electrical socket was coming off the wall in the bathroom, I had a banging from the lift in my first room on the first night. They had no problem moving me to a quieter room when I asked to be moved.
And one last thing - the pillows on the bed are those huge, too-full hollow fibre type that push your head up while you're sleeping.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel, even without the tourist party.

Room Tip: Room 701 is the one next to the lift that makes a banging noise!
