Avoid this hotel! It is a disaster!
My room was cleaned not very well. First of all, I found hair in my room!!!! They hadn't changed the bedding for two days!
Location is very inconvenient. It took ages getting downtown.
Breakfast was very poor.

A pretty hotel, but the location is not very convenient. But in case you have some business in the north of the city, it's great for you.
The hotel would have been OK if service had been a little bit better. Now, they don't pay attention to guests' emails. I had sent over a dozen of them prior to my arrival, and had not heard back.
As for the room. The toilet was leaking. The windows were dirty.

Actually I did not want to review this hotel, if it gets too popular then the prices will go up :-).

The location is utterly perfect for me, I have a lot of business to do in Moscow, and its located directly at the start of Prospect Mira close to two Metro stations. That makes it easy to travel in Moscow and I have never been late for a meeting (!!!) whilst staying there.

Taxi service is perfect, not overpriced, very good drivers indeed and the staff really help you plan your journey to arrive at the right time.

Bar is a great place to hang, the staff are really kind, take care of you, very attentive, good English, and you can have business meetings in the lobby. its no problem.

There are dozens of great places to eat in the evening, including two really great Georgian restaurants a nice modern Italian and a great Chinese one within easy walking distance.

I can only recommend this hotel to other business people and hope that the very reasonable prices don't go through the roof

I have stayed in many places in over-priced Moscow, but finally I can recommend a hotel... Decent, clean and modern rooms, well functioning WIFI, breakfast as it should be, lovely spa/pool and very good connections through metro, just 200m away... all this for under €200. I stop searching for now on.

I found the Garden-Ring using TripAdvisor so I probably should not have been surprised to find the comments matched my experience. Moscow is not an easy city with very little in English. The subway can be a real challenge, so getting back to this oasis each time was wonderful. Rooms are very comfortable, nice beds and super-sleepmaking dunas. They have very modern facilities such as heated floors, circular glass shower cabinets and free WIFI, a real plus. There is also a cash machine for credit card or even money changing in the lobby. The room rates, not cheap, but you get what you pay for, include breakfast and the breakfast spread is monumental catering for all European dimensions from English to Scandinavian to local food.

Staff at the front desk can be a little over-whelmed at times, but English is excellent and they are very helpful, including with supply of visa support documents. The Garden-Ring is not in absolute central Moscow but it is on the major circular Brown line of the Subway system which means you can get anywhere relatively quickly. There is little of interest that I could find nearby, so think of it as the "warming welcoming nest" that you return to each night. Nice bar in the front - try the Beluga vodka, very authentic! English TV seems very limited but they had the news channels.

Room Tip: English tour maps tend to reproduce names in some kind of anglicized form that does not exist in any...

I have used this hotel a few times now, whilst not the cheapest, it is certainly competitive in price. The comfort of the place is very homely, the desk staff are exceptional. The complicated and sometimes expensive visa voucher is dealt with by the reservations team in a truly expert and professional manner and Ivanov has proven a fantastic help in the reservation team and has good contact with his foreign clients.
The Concierge has booked restaurants in advance, cars, taxi's and proven extremely helpful prior to / and during my trips. A+ there as well
The hotels spa is tranquil and well run; the pool (if a little small) is welcome after a hectic day in Moscow as are the Sauna and steam rooms.
The bar is Ok, sometimes the service can be a little slow (its Moscow after all)
The rooms are exceptional for the money, warm cosy and very clean, not your average Moscow room, all areas of the hotel are clean and tidy.
The restaurant is ok although I tend to eat out when im in the city, breakfast is the usual affair, continental and Russian.
Location on Prospekt Mira is convenient and not too difficult to find from the local Metro station, although a word of caution. If your carrying your heavy bags as it is a good 5 minute walk and the turning where the hotel front is, is easy to walk past late at night so make sure of your directions first. Only 5 stops from Paveletskaya with one change (Green line to Orange) or get on the Brown line and stay on it all the way to Prospekt Mira station…..be careful of time of day and pick your route with caution :)
I cannot recommend this hotel enough, helpful staff, clean, tidy, warm and welcoming, a definite shining star in Moscow and worth a visit

This was my first time at the Garden Ring and I was pleasantly surprised. I booked online to benefit from the discount on a three-night stay, achieving a reasonable - by Moscow standards - breakfast-inclusive rate.

The hotel is set back from the busy Prospekt Mira on which traffic is eith stationary or zooming along at 60mph+ and so was pleasantly peaceful. Arriving early evening after a two-hour drive from DME airport, there was a moment of slight panic when I was told there was no booking for me, despite an email confirmation of my reservation. However, the reception staff quickly solved the problem and checked me in. My suggestion, if you are booking here, is to double-check that the reservation has definitely been made on the hotel computer!

I had a good-sized double room, nicely appointed with effective air conditioning (it was around -20c outside) that kept the room warm. The bathroom was excellent with a generous size shower cubicle. The flat panel TV provided most free-to-air Russian channels plus international news channels including RT, Euronews, CNN and BBC World News. I slept well throughout my stay on a very comfortable bed.

Breakfast was fine, with a choice of cereals, eggs, bacon and so on, plus pastries and breads. There's a good coffee machine and a variety of teas, as well as a good selection of juices.

The bar in the lobby is perhaps not the most relaxing place to have a drink, but the price of calvados, for example, wasn't over the top for this expensive city. The wi-fi was free and worked well in the room and public areas.

Given the ridiculous traffic problems in the city, it was good that the hotel is in easy walking distance of two metro stations. And I can also recommend Vapiano, an Italian restaurant a few minutes walk north on Prospekt Mira that you reach a little before the metro station.

I think I may well ue this hotel agaiin in the future.
