We booked and paid around 3 months in advance so got a good room rate of less than £100 night room only. The rooms were very clean, bedding and pillows very comfortable, great shower and well insulted against noise from other rooms. Yes the room was functional and not very spacious but more than adequate for a city break. We didn't have breakfast there as we considered around £18 poor value whatever the choice and quality might be. Bar prices were also a bit steep with 50 cls beer costing apprx £6. Location is great for the Aeroexpress from Domodedovo and 5 or so minutes walk to another metro station. Trams running close to the centre stop about 100 metres away. Take your own kettle if you don't function without an early morning dose of caffeine.

Returning to Moscow from St. Petersburg after a poor hotel in there and a poor one in Moscow before we went to St P ( both organised by Russian Tourist Office) the Ibis which we had arranged ourselves was a joy. Quiet comfy rooms well located to aero express, metro, tram and bus routes it made our last couple of days in Moscow a joy even if breakfast was a ripoff. There is a Starbucks and cafe's nearby. Good English and relaxed atmosphere would thoroughly recommend for independent travellers.

I chose Ibis due to the reviews I see in this forum.
They were very promt with responding to all my queries. There was a problem with the letter they issued for visa support, but when contacted, they responded within 20 minutes and got me a new letter within an hour, very impressive.
On arrival, check in was smooth. Front desk lady offered some tips to visit Moscow.Very good wifi in the room, also has a safe box.
Food is overpriced, as mentioned in other reviews.
But overall, very good choice for the money. If booked 21 days ahead, can get 20% off the room rate, so no complains.
They have an automated money changing/ATM machine in the lobby.
Do not change money at the airport, or change a small amount to pay for the train ticket etc as the rate at airport moneychanger are very poor, especially before the immigration.
How to reach: Once you come out of Aeroexpress train, head strainght out of the building (do not go to Metro station), once out of building take a left, walk to the road (you will see a starbuck), then take a left turn, you will see the white cathedral with black top.. you are on the correct road, keep going for about 300 meters an you will see the sign of Ibis on your right..Total time from Pavletskya station to hotel with luggage is about 15 minutes.

Ibis is ok value for the location. It's about a 10 min walk from the main station which is a great when flying in to Domodedovo airport, as taxis can about 2 hours are costly and the trains are brilliant. The hole is about 2 stops on the underground from red square too, which is cheap and easy to navigate.
The hotel is clean but very basic. The bar is expensive as is the breakfast and very disappointing. Tea/coffee in Moscow is quite expensive and it was in the hotel too, so facilities in the room would have been ideal.
The staff were helpful and pleasant, I would recommend the hotel if you are happy walking and getting trains, which we found quite an adventure.

Room Tip: Ask for good pillows, they were particularly hard!

The Ibis was ok - at least much better than the original "guest house" we had ended up in. It has the basic services and ok service. No room service available but "bar food" available 24 hours.
The cleaning of the rooms left a lot to desire as our own wet towels were still "in a bunch" when we came back at the end of the day.
The rooms are really not sound proof and by 6.30 am you can hear everyone come in and out or their every move.
Restaurant was somewhat average - breakfast so so and dinner really not that good.
This was a business trip and again, all the basics were there and it was enough. However I'm pretty sure there might be some other places out there a bit better..

Room Tip: Do not choose rooms ending in 13 or 14 - for example 313 or 314. They are by the service door and ge...

The staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel and the restaurant were clean.
Considering the price range of Moscow hotels, this hotel might be considered as good value.
Also with the subway Red Square is only 2 stops away.
It takes 15 minutes of walk to reach the subway which can be painful with the Moscow weather. Also i must add i was not a big fan of the road to the subway and the neighborhood.
The rooms were clean but the ac was not working and the room was unnecessarily hot, they said it is because of the season. There is no fridge or mini bar in the room.
The breakfast was expensive, 720 rubles and the restaurant was not welcoming.
Also the wifi was not working properly in the rooms. The beds were futon beds and not that comfortable.

In walking distance (15 minutes) from the Paveletskaya train station that is the end station for the Domodedovo Aeroexpress. The hotel is fairly new, clean and the reception staff are very friendly and helpful. WiFi is good and free. Restaurant is OK. The rooms are standard IBIS but are modern and clean. The Paveletskaya station also connects to the circle line of the metro as well as the Alma/Atinskaya-Rechnoy Vokzal line.
