Stayed at Maxima Panorama in September 2012. I was on a business trip.

The check in at the hotel was efficient, the front desk staff spoke good English. I had booked a single room.

The room size was rather small, but alright for a solo traveler. The room was clean. Though the room was supposed to be non-smoking, I could feel a faint smell of cigarette throughout my stay.
The bathoom was clean. The room was serviced well every day. The bed was comfortable and I could sleep well on both the nights I stayed.

The food: The restaurant located on the first floor was where I had breakfast and dinner on both the days. The restaurant looked rather spooky with all sorts of stuffed animals staring at you from all corners of the hall. Breakfast was ok. But during dinner, the television was too loud. The staff in the restaurant could barely understand English and took forever to serve dinner. But there are lots of places around the hotel where one could go for dinner.

The hotel is located near the metro station and only three metro stations from the Red Square.

I recommend this hotel for a short business stay, but perhaps not the best choise if on a family holiday.

Overall a very nice place to stay. Front desk personnel were very helpful and spoke perfect English. With the Metro located just out the front walkway providing an easy three-stop connection to Red Square there was no need to pay more for a hotel closer to the downtown area. The rooms were very clean and spacious enough for the three of us with the fold out sofa-bed. The all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet on the 2nd floor was terrific, although a bit unusual decor serving also as the evening nightclub. Visiting Moscow again I would not even consider staying anywhere else.

Nice and clean hotel, immediate access to metro, close to domodedovo (about an hour) and three station from red square. I would go again for sure. The breakfast is rich and tasty dinner is available in the restaurant.

The overall experience was better than I expected, so I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Some notes:

- the receptionists are quick and efficient
- the room is modern and clean (the single was not very big but spacious enough)
- the breakfast is tasty and varied enough
- the hotel entrance is right at the exit from the metro station

- the staff at the breakfast are slow to clean up after people
- it takes about five minutes longer to get to the hotel by metro than to most centrally located hotels
- the air was slightly stuffed in the room when I arrived, but it helped to open the window for a few minutes.
