I was in this hotel on March 2012 for one week. Everything was fine just at the arriving. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned, and reordered every day. Everything was in order with my reservation. Food was ok and breakfast was very well organized. Free excellent wifi. They offered exchange at the reception also. The closest metro station was Komsomolskaya about 10 min by foot.

Just arrived to the hotel at 1.30 am after long trip. My reservation (prepaid by the way) was not kept. The only free room was not cleaned. I was asked to wait - ok. Waited 30 minutes! They gave me the key. I come to room 208 and find their cleaning lady half way in doing things, TV is on, room is not refreshed with air - smell of smoke and someone who was before.

I am sure this is practice and you will see this poor service level in everything.

Wish you nice stay in Moscow, but try to choose another hotel.

P.S. By the way I am supposed to pay 170 euro for this.

Thought this was a good hotel. I stayed in a studio which are more expensive but still cheaper than some other 4* chain hotels in Moscow and quiet large. Its a little out of the centre with a 10 minute walk to the metro. Staff friendly and do their best to speak and understand English although we had a few problems ordering food with the translation. Good breakfast. Good evening menu until 10pm. Fast free wifi available everywhere. I'd stay there again. Rooms have airco and on the south side you naturally get the sun in the room all day. North side can be cold.

Room Tip: Pick the south side of the hotel if you want glorious sun in the room and the north side if you like a crisp room.

Stayed there twice the same week, week commencing 20th August, nice, new, clean, staff better than normal Moscow average, 6000 rur or 150 euros which in Moscow is a good deal. Business purposes only though, not many diversions, restaurant is ok but menu a little short. Dont book airport taxis through reception, they charge 2500 rur, Azimuth will charge you less than 1000 rur for same

Mandarin Hotel is a fairly nice hotel, nice rooms and a nice restaurant that had a really good singer when I was there. Close to subway stations and a hotel with European standard and look which is not 100% that you get in Moscow.
