“Expensive, but worth it”
Reviewed March 2, 2014 via mobile

As everyone says....it is not just expensive, but very expensive. The reason is that you are going to eat and drink some very unusual and untypical things. These items come direct from hunters in Siberia and the north and therefore cost a lot to transport and store. For example, there is a fish which is deep frozen the minute it is caught and then it served directly to you in carpaccio style. As the fish melts in your mouth, the flavour is incredible. As a one off visit, it is highly recommended. Cheaper than a trip to the far north for sure.

“Tasty and original”
Reviewed January 13, 2014

The restaurant is really nice. The owners are outdoor enthusiasts, organising extreme trips across Russia and not only. Most of the receipes were gathered from these trips. Some of them may sound very unusual, but everything is very tasty. The restaurant is above average in terms of money, even for Moskow. They also have a nice shop with all kind of original products (i.e. mammouth ivory artcrafts).

“Ideal for trappers and well healed travellers!”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

Simply amazing food in this deceptively simple restaurant
Decor is limed chunky wood tables and chairs ,live fire and crashed helicopter
The success in the food is not so much in the cooking but in the sourcing
For the dedicated gourmet ,I would be surprised if you do not find foods you have never eaten
We stared with Straganina of Mukson, which is deep frozen fish from the far north eaten frozen with a choice of relishes, delicious. Also a wooden tasting platter of wild horsemeat in aspic ,reindeer tongue ,venison heart stuffed with rabbit pate, wild duck, venison liver pate all served with delicious breads. My main was cutlets of wild boar with reindeer cutlets ,served rare delicious ,also stir fried bracken tips in garlic, will have to try this myself
Desert was wild berries from the urals which are also used to make drinks, cloudy berries, fox berries etc. The wine list is world wide and nothing exceptional but the horseradish flavoured vodka was
After dinner you can go to the boutique and buy glorious sculptures of bears mamouths etc made from wale bone and mamouths ivory,Siberian knives Woolf pelts and many other really yummy souvenirs
All in all an unmissable experience

“Way too overprized”
Reviewed September 20, 2013 via mobile

We came here because it's the only Siberian restaurant. Unfortunately it's way too overprized, our bill for 2p was 100euros without any alcoholic consumption and 2 juices! We had both 50gr of frozen fish, a soup and a quiche with fish. It was good but no good value for your money. But it's an experience you maybe should have once you are in Moscow..

“a very special restaurant”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

We have never been in sybiria but when we visited Expedicia we felt like we are there, for the first course we had a block of ice, on the top there were almost frozen pieces of fish and two glasses of vodka in two holes, we dipped the fish into varied plates of sauce, it was beautiful and tasty at the same time. The atmosphere was great, the service was great and all the following courses were very special and delicious. In the first floor there was a little shop with items of the far north. The restaurant was very expensive but worth every ruble.
