The hostel is impossible to find if you decide to go there from the airport by yourself. The rooms are nice and you can use internet for free. the nearest metro station is 15min away. There is also a really nice and funny cat. Staff was not very helpfull, they just were ingnoring us.

Not the easiest place to find, so I recommend getting picked up by the staff unless you know your way around Moscow or can speak Russian.

The outside of the hostel is kind of shabby and run down, pretty much like the inside of the place.

You have to enter through a stairway which kind of makes you feel like you are entering a condemned building and you go up to the "hostel" itself. There are 2 doors at the top of the stairs, one is to enter the hostel, the other is the 2nd shower and toilet.

We were there for a few nights and only saw 3 people who worked there, but I am not sure if they worked or just hung around.

The hostel consists of a few single/double rooms and a communal room which all branch off from a central hallway (see photos). The main bathroom also branches off here, on the right just after the computer you see a door.. there ya go.. shower, toilet, bath, washing machine. I would NOT recommend having a bath there... I felt dirty after having a shower... please... staff.. clean the shower... :-(

There is also breakfast included, which consisted of cornflakes, milk, ehh... yoghurt?... and... some sort of stale bread thing. Don’t do it.

I thought the place in general was really relaxed and the staff were friendly and were always willing to help with any questions.

There is a small supermarket just outside the place which is handy for those late night beer and vodka runs.

Oh and if you like walking, this is actually a great place to stay, you can walk all the way down into the red square.

To sum it up... I am a little confused what else to write about it.. the place is run down and is kind of a dump.. but the staff are friendly and the price for downtown Moscow is good value. The only thing which is a shame is that it is so small. There is a computer anyone can use, which is great, the washing machine has a charge to be used and they will even do it for you if you ask nicely..
