Description: Bocconcino is a plain and home-like Italian cookery goes back to a small resort town of Forte Dei Marmi, where in the pizzeria of the same name the sophisticated European public, experienced in high gastronomy, enjoys spending its time in homelike Mediterranean atmosphere. Bocconcino is the chain of pizzerias with exclusive home cuisine and hearty atmosphere of the place, where warm memories occur and where you would like to be back again. A genuine pizza with a crisp made of finest dough, a savoury home pasta, rich selection of meat- and seafood and a long list of Italian vintage wines – their taste cannot be faked, it can be only carefully reproduced basing on the best recipes and traditions of Italy. In fact, the restaurant name means a “tasty morsel” in Italian.

Good Italian food, but as everywhere in Moscow, Italian rimes with expensive, in some place ok, but here, yes the pizza is tasty, yes the pasta is good, yes the mozzarelladi buffala is good but honestly for 20euros you would expect a little more in your plate....wine by the glass choice is not very big, and pay 80euros for a mediocre wine..no thank you, the chain restaurant Venezzia is much much better vlue for money !

Decoration of the restaurant is just awesome , staff dont speak English (that is a big problem in Moscow), good service , nice wine. The foods was correct , had a porcini soup and pasta. nothing bad to say about this place.

This is another Moscow chain-restaurant, but like so many, its fabulously run.
All Bocconcinos are pretty hard to spot, since the doors all seem to be camouflaged from the outside! Inside the decor is beautiful, teal and wood interiors.
The food is fabulous, I shared a pizza and a squid ink risotto both of which were absolutely beautiful. Having eaten in Italy, I'm happy to say that Bocconcinos rises to the challenge.
Unfortunately we had to sit in a back room as we were a large party, but bear in mind we'd turned up unannounced as we'd made reservations but came to the WRONG branch!
Staff are efficient and polite, but you may have to wait a little to grab a waitress when you're sitting in the back. Having said that, the service wasn't bad at all, the juices and teas were fabulous and the sweet banana pizza I had for dessert was an absolute knock out! The perfect end to a lovely meal!

English menus are always available here and staff speak good English. If your waitress doesn't speak it, there will certainly be someone who does.

I love the Mediterranean pizza with anchovies and capers. I've never tried anything else and eaten about 20 of these. Once there was a problem with my date's dish and they gave us free dessert, which was wonderful.

Please note that the review is about their initial place (on Strastnoy boulevard) and not about their other recent openings. We regularly come there for both family and quick dinners and the food never disappoints. The prices tend to grow - as in most other places - but pizzas, most salads (e.g. beet root and ruccola with goat cheese) and fish are the best value for money
