I travel to Moscow quite frequently and I love Teremok. They are a (small) russian fast food chain specializing in "blini", which is a thin pancake similar (but not as sweet) to a french crepe.
They take only cash, many of their servers speak only russian, but everything is forgotten for the blinis, which are made fresh after you order and you can add all kinds of tasty fillings. My favourite is the ham and cheese filling as well as the russian red caviar (about 4 and 7 USD
repectively). Sign language works. The easiest one to reach for tourists is in the Manege Square shopping center, food court, ground floor. Good food at very reasonable prices is rare in Moscow, and this is a culinary experiment you will cherish. For the kids or less experimental in your party, there is a Burger King in the same food court.....
