recently the museum had to change its location and now it is in an abandoned building which they are slowly renovating. the story of the revolution is however interesting, they play a 30' movie which explains well the revolution. the pictures also represent well what happened there but more explanations would be needed.

It is very interesting to hear about the details of the Romanian Revolution of 1989 which started from here in Timisoara - not in Bucharest. (With the film it takes about an hour - if you have less time, you may skip the film)

The entrance is on the street, but you may have to look twice. Friendly welcome.

Very interesting guided tour by a very nice lady who spoke excellent German (I am sure her English is great too).

It starts with the chapel which is dedicated to the orthodox AND the catholic Saint who are jointly protecting the city of Timisoara.

Then you can see kids' paintings depicting the events of December 1989 (they have been shown on exhibitions eg in Vienna with great attention), followed by pictures of the monuments of the town of Timisoara which remind of the revolution - each of it has its own interesting story and you can find them when you stroll through town.

Eventually you come to a large room with a photo exhibition and you can watch a movie of about 30 mins which I found worthwhile and captivating - (don't have too high expectations, but it is good!)

I recommend to give a generous donation on the way out (Although I was not asked for it!) A tip for the guide also seems appropriate - not necessarily expected, but welcome.
