Before coming to Romania, I lived for a couple of years in Paris.
I love to treat myself from time to time, with good food, a special bottle of wine, an exquisite dessert.
When I first saw this restaurant, Chez Michou - Cuisine Francaise, located in an old and famous hotel in Cluj (Melody), I stepped in there in the verry same evening.
The interior is great, precious, comfortable and warm alltogether!
The menu is quite French - I recognized some of my favourites dishes, some classics I used to enjoy in Paris ( La terrine de Foie Gras avec des fruits confits, Le Tournedos, Le Filet de Porc avec sa sauce de Moutarde de Dijon, Le Foie Gras avec un Chutney de Pommes etc). I was verry surprised to experience the same tastes and flavours that remembered me so well of my French period of life... I was in Paris, that evening. :)
I tried also a Romanian wine and a French one. They were great, both of them.
The prices are ok. I spent much more money on other restaurants in Cluj, with a less impressive menu. So the prices are fair.
I strongly reccomend this place. Pour les connaisseurs!
