“Nice for history buffs”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

It was great to stand in a place of history, but because this building now houses the center for art and design for the university, there is nothing to see inside, no rooms to explore to try to imagine what little king Matyas might have been like as a child, no write-ups or brochures with history, just a plaque on the outside to designate the building as an historical site.

“Fantastic modern jewellery by students”
Reviewed September 8, 2012

There wasn't much to see in the house when I was there - not much to do with Corvinus at any rate, or I couldn't find it - but there was a students' fair of modern jewellery they had made, which was wonderful. Great for Christmas presents too !

“Very nice”

I like the square in which the statue is placed and I think it is a great place to visit. I like the way it looks in the summer, when you have lots of outdoor cafe's where you can hang out and just enjoy the history around you.

“Matthias Rex Birthplace”
Reviewed January 6, 2012

One of the most righteous and wisest kings in Hungary. His birthplace is a pilgrimage site for those interested in the history of medieval Eastern Europe. Unfortunately the museum is not kept properly, and most times remains closed. If you are in Cluj-Napoca give it a visit, who knows? you might be in luck! Since it is located in the historical section of the city you wont get out of your way. Eating in the nearby "Piata Muzeului" (Museum Square) is highly recommended.
