“Bountiful Hotel”

My stay in this hotel is ok except the fact that they are doing renovation when I was there.I stayed at a deluxe room. The bed is soft as well as the pillow, they provided me slippers and all. Room attendants were so very attentive. Receptionists are very accommodating. One experience that I will never forget is the bountiful buffet breakfast that they served. It is a complete set of breakfast, from cereals to eggs to bacon to hotdogs to different kinds of rice to bread and pandesal. I really like the Western and Asian breakfast mixed together. As what I live by, Breakfast like a King and indeed, it is really a breakfast for a King!

I booked a family room in this hotel to accommodate my family and paid extra for this. I was very disappointed when i opened the curtain and shocked that the view I am anticipating to be a river view was actually old debris from construction and garbage. I understand that the hotel is under refurbishment but they should not rent the room in the first place and thinking that the guest will not open the curtain to look at the outside view. The room itself was very dark and small. I stayed a lot in Sarabia Manor hotel and their executive rooms were a lot bigger than their family room. I went to complain in the reception and they relocate me to another room, one floor higher. The view was not better as all you can see is the old roof of the neighboring private houses. The swimming pool was smaller but the ambiance was superb facing the river. The food were delicious and staff were very friendly. If I have to go back again, yes as long that I am not having the Room 500 and any rooms in that side.

For your next stay, may I suggest a room facing the river ( river view room). To secure a riverview room ,an early booking is suggested as these rooms are easily sold out due to numerous requests. Although all our riverview rooms are all Standard Rooms ( 1 Matrimonial bed or 2 Single beds), you may request for an extra bed if 3 or more persons will be occupying the room.

Again, thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. With this, we will continually improve our services and we hope to see you soon on your next stay.

My family from the US always travel to the Philippines to have a vacation for 3 weeks. And when they are in Iloilo, I would often book their accommodation at Del Rio. Simply, Del Rio has the best service, rooms, and price comparability. The management always tender their guests needs when requested. The front desk officers are cordial and always available to assist. The rooms are new and they are renovating other rooms to a more modern theme. And if you are lucky enough, and the owner is around, and there are special events, you'll get to have stuffs from the hotel for free (e.g., desert, drinks, buffet, shuttle service to the airport). They also have the best tasting buffet in Iloilo compared to other hotels. The view from the rooms at the back is splendid. You'll get a view of Iloilo River and the business center of the City. The swimming pool is good and clean.

Room Tip: If you are to choose rooms, choose those near the front desk coz they are the new ones. I am not sur...

Ours was a spur of the moment trip, tag-along trip with my in-laws who were booked at Hotel Del Rio. Most staff are courteous and willing to lend a hand, follows requests and went the extra mile, gave appetizers on the house, hailed us cabs, provided us extra toiletries and fresh towels daily. Hotel restaurant food is cheaply priced but do not expect much. My kids enjoyed swimming at the pool. NO lifeguards so swim at your own risk. My kids are good swimmers from years of training so i let them. Hotel is old and is one of the first hotels in Iloilo, cheap and affordably priced IMO You get what your paid for. Only regrets are we were assigned a room near the housekeeping office and the night staff at times were inconsiderate, would sneeze, laugh, bang doors, talk loudly. They should try to limit noise since people are already turned in.

I don't know about other hotels in ilo-ilo, but this hotel seems to be decent and good.

I was skeptical about how their rooms would be at first judging from the pictures shown online, but the actual rooms did not disappoint. It was what it was in actual. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable. The aircon was strong too.Overall, the room interior was inviting and had the comfy aura.

However, do take note that their family room and superior room doesn't seem to have much of difference. The rooms looks to be about the same size with only the queen size bed being different. Their suite room looks pretty good and big though.

Their bathrooms was clean and brightly lit. The water pressure was strong too.

One thing though, was that in the early hours of the morning at about 5am, we were awoken by what seems to be a cat crying and making scratching noises near the ceiling (we were on the 2nd floor) We called the front desk and a while later, there wasn't any noise from the cat anymore.

Their buffet breakfast spread was just okay. Nothing impressive nor was it too bad. For their drinks, they only serve coffee or hot chocolate. They also serve only pineapples or watermelon for their fruits. It would be better if they could serve mangoes which would benefit foreigners.

Hotel del Rio overall was a good hotel. Has a convenient location too, with a 7-11 just across the street, Metrobank & BPI bank just 5mins away. BUT, their wifi connection was a big letdown. They'd give you slips of paper with password on it which is also of no use because the wifi connection in the rooms or lobby is so poor one can't even connect no matter what device you use. This is one thing the management needs to look into. I called and asked for their help but told their IT staff isnt around. Only some of the staff are friendly.

Room Tip: Choose the superior room over the deluxe room or the family room. There would not be much difference...

As for the Wi-Fi conncection, we are currently addressing the problem and we are looking for a better, faster and more convenient Wi-Fi provider. For the mangoes, we do serve mangoes in our buffet but it's seasonal. We want to provide the very best ripe mangoes to our our valued guests.

For a hotel based in the province, I like how this hotel is maintained. Quality of breakfast served is high as well. Best of all, the wifi works. The hotel is also near to night spots and a running area. So if dining and running is part of your stay agenda, I think this place will do well.

Room Tip: I think any room is ok.

First off, very dirty hotel. Second of all they make you produce certificate to verify reservations after they take your money and the room is already paid for. If you can't produce certificate your out of luck and they keep your money. Very unprofessional in my opinion.
