At first glance, as you look at it from the street, you fall under the illusion that this could be a good hotel. The façade, at least, is grand and elegant. And it stops there.
While service is ok and friendly (as you would expect in the Philippines), the rooms are in a sad state. Enter the room, and you will worry about walking barefoot on the dirty, stained carpet. There's just a dirty, dusty atmosphere in general. One of our colleagues had to change rooms because of a rodent problem. Turn on the ancient, CRT TV and all you will get is static.
The bathrooms are old and are home to a couple of mosquitoes. The only good thing to say about the bathroom is that they at least have hot and cold water running water, although you would not want to run a bath in their bathtub.
If you are tempted to have a massage, resist it immediately, as the massage service is amateur and horrible. It does not help that the room does not give you a relaxing vibe in the first place. So this is certainly not a hotel that lends itself to comfort and leisure.
But if you are here for work, and you want to catch up on email, rooms do not have wi fi, and they will charge you for hourly access. And if you want to work out in their 'gym,' all you will see is a sad cramped room with cheap and old equipment.
So, to recap, it looks good at first glance, sells itself cheap, and is going on in years. There's probably an analogy here, but politeness prevents one from mentioning it.
