“Beautiful place.”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

The history of this cathedral brought me back to see it again. I first visited in 1980 and returned to see it again this year. It is beautifully adorned with huge golden pillars. The alter is stunning and the stained glass windows stand out in the midday light. The only drawback is the city has allowed vendors to set up giant tents across the street and it is now impossible to photograph the front of the cathedral. They should remove these venders so that this historic landmark can be viewed by visitors. The venders belong in the marketplace. You have to wonder why the city officials would allow this to happen. PAYOFF????????

“A place for worship”
Reviewed November 10, 2012

A place for worship. This is not a monument, but the parish church of Bacolod. There are endless well attended masses on Sunday as well as many on weekdays. It's typical of the nice old secondary churches in a larger town.

“The Cathedral of Bacolod City”
Reviewed May 6, 2012

I attended masses for two consecutive days while i was in Bacolod. I appreciated the architectural design of the cathedral if San Sebastian, the patron saint of Bacolod City. The design of the columns were so extrinsically made. And, the altar could motivate any church goer to pray in thanksgiving and praise to God for giving the humankind talent to manifest divine intervention.
