I love to eat here whenever I am in Bacolod City. Price is reasonable and the food choices extensive. Try their sinugbang isda (grilled fish), or their caldereta. The ambiance is good, mood is festive and the place is clean. :)

You must try their sizzling Marlin steak, scallops, boneless bangus and liempo! Can accommodate small and big groups. A must try in Bacolod.

This was a most interesting experience and unlike any other restaurant I have experienced. Things work differently at Aboy's. Top tip, don't stand at the door waiting for the “meet and greet”, it doesn’t happen here. Dive in, grab a table and go up to the food counter which is huge. The far right hand side is where all the uncooked meat and fish is and I made a beeline for that. Order what you want and the guy at the grill will give you a little plastic number to put on your table. There is also a huge selection of other dishes in Bains Marie offering the usual suspects such as Bicol Express and many other Filipino favourites. A waiter then comes to your table and takes your rice and drinks order. Fresh coconut water still in the coconut is divine.
The food duly arrives and is delicious. Before us lay a spread of Blue Marlin, grilled to perfection, Oysters and Chilly grilled Squid. Although full to bursting point, I had to try their Leche Flan which was thankfully small enough to inhale but was just what the Doctor ordered.
Overall a great place to eat once you know the routine.

We went to Aboy's after a long day from Mumbakal (see my other review) and from the time we saw the place, we knew it was the best decision. The place is huge and can seat up to 250 people. Since we're already starving, we headed straight to their lutong ulam and started choosing whatever looks good. I highly recommend the steamed mushrooms, ginataang pagi, and their mouth-watering bulalo! We literally stopped talking and started munching on these delights together with their other viands which are all tastefully good!
