We enjoy our stay here for 3 days. There' s a free shuttle to the airport, hospitality is excellent, room cleanliness is an A plus, resort staffs are very friendly. Safety,Privacy and inclusive use of all amenities, Yes it's a splurge in your pocket but the serene yet relaxing view from our balcony every morning is all worth it!

we spent a couple of nights at this resort at the start of our trip to the Philippines. And we were pleasantly surprised how captivating the place is. The resort is well run and managed and our room in Bahamas block was very spacious clean and tidy. We over look one of the lagoons and the view from the balcony was stunning. There are good choice of restaurants And we ate at Kilimanjaro and Fiji. food quality in both was very good, however the breakfast experience at kilimanjiro was average because it was very busy service and the choice seemed limited for us. The seafood at Fiji was very good and we enjoyed this the most with al fresco dining at the beachside. The customer service in the resort however is mixed. our customer experience at check in reception was poor as there wasn't a friendly welcome greeting and the processs seemed to take ages and staff where on there phones texting. However the staff in the restaurants are very good especially mention JP and Pro in the savannah bar his customer service is world class !!!. Overall a great place to come and visit for a couple of days and the resort is spacious and well laid out with plenty of space to be had around the lagoons for relaxing. A good value choice place to come.

We took the Quantum Villa this time as we had 3 families with us...we had express check in so we were brought straight to the room instead of lining up at the reception area. We have our own lagoon, gazebo, and entertainment hall. A lot of activities to do. Good food in Kilimanjaro and Palermo. Fiji smells a bit fishy.

Dear raquelbrouwer,

It is always a pleasure to welcome back a guest who considers Plantation Bay her home in Cebu since 2000.

With its 4 detached bedrooms, private dipping pool, gazebo, and pavilion, our Quantum Villa is an ideal choice for a family reunion or get-together with old friends. Thank you for inviting your friends over to Plantation Bay, and for choosing to celebrate the New Year with us.

We look forward to seeing you again soon.

I visited Plantation Bay for the first time in January 2013. I loved the place, the Amenities and the ambience. Our last night was spent at the Hotel's Bar named Savana. Lovely music, talented guitarist and impressive vocalist. Fun dancing after a tasty Italian dinner. It's a haven and great place to unwind.

Hope I can visit there again!

I stayed here for 4 nights for a conference.

The resort is conveniently located only 20 minutes from Cebu airport on the waterfront. Depending on traffic, around 30 minutes from the city centre.

The facilities have lots of character and are very pleasant but lack some features of more modern resorts. Small things like universal power points and high speed Internet are not available.

However just about every room over looks, or opens directly to water (ask for ground floor if you want to step straight in to the pools, or 1st floor for views and secluded private balconies).

Rooms are nice with firm king sized beds and adequate space, but using not modern.

Very clean and tidy but don't expect your bed to be turned down or find a chocolate on your pillow.

The resort is really spread out with a good gym, baste salt water pools, several fresh water pools (with excellent pool bar) multiple eating places and a variety of entertainment. You can borrow a bicycle on the resort, use the health spa for a great massage ((I fella asleep) or go diving or parasailing.

Conference facilities are adequate.

The best feature here is the salt water pools and the space of the grounds. You can swim to an island in the pool and with a good imagination play Robinson Crusoe for an hour or two.

My kids would enjoy it here and it represented pretty good value.

Dear Mark H,

We especially appreciate reviews from well-traveled guests like you. Plantation Bay's primary form of landscaping is water—with the rooms overlooking a lovely expanse of private beaches and waterways—and we're glad that while here for a 4-day conference, you took the time to explore the resort even if you were occupied with business matters.

Thank you for specifically mentioning the relaxing massage you had at Mogambo Springs, our health and relaxation spa unlike any other.

We look forward to welcoming you with your family back here soon.

Lovely concept and visually beautiful resort. Lacks the polish and service to go that extra mile and be a really stand out resort. Food options only average although the Italian resto was an exception and was very good. Enjoyed it but would not go again.

Dear GrahamEdwards,

Thank you for your kind comments about Plantation Bay's exceptional visual appeal, and the exceptional Italian food at our Palermo restaurant.

Upon reviewing your file, your reference to a weakness in service apparently refers mostly to a delay in your room transfer to our Riverboat Suite. We regret that it took some time before we were able to move you, but the previous occupants were enjoying themselves so much they simply refused to respect our checkout time. We apologize again for the inconvenience this caused you; and you were quite right to observe that we should have been more pro-active about advising you of the delay.

We are a family of four and have our fair share of travels. Because of my husband's job, we get to travel frequently. In those travels, we saw numerous places with its own unique quality and beauty - and I would say that Plantation Bay is at par with the world's best. Finding this wonderful place, especially in our own backyard, is beyond my expectation. The amenities and the quite laid-back feel ambiance make this place a remarkable one. And don't forget the staff, with their modest and sincere smiles, makes everyone feel welcome and at home. Can't say more about this resort but Great!!!!

However, there was this one drawback - sad to say... and the management should really take notice.

There's this woman named "Chookie" - I guess a supervisor of sorts, her manners towards the staff, lashing out in front of people is totally not acceptable. Seeing that totally ruined my day during my stay. We are not prefect, no one is, but to think of it, that was the first time I've seen that unprofessional and rude behavior towards ones subordinate. She should talk to her staff privately and not in front of guests. I hope this is just an isolated case because this will really tarnish the reputation of this great resort.

OVERALL, we have a very wonderful stay at this place called the PLANTATION BAY!!!!

Room Tip: All the rooms are good!

Dear Dolores A,

We appreciate your candid report about our Recreation Manager, Chokie, and apologize that her behavior toward her staff tarnished your otherwise perfect stay. We teach all our supervisors and managers to be respectful not just to guests, but to each other and all our staff. Fortunately, most of them are, most of the time, and that is why we have such cheerful and motivated staff at Plantation Bay.

We have counseled Chokie about the incident you reported, and hope that there will be no further incidents of this type.

Still, we are glad that, even though you have been to many resorts around the world, Plantation Bay surpassed your expectations, and was a pleasure for your entire family.

And thank you for bringing your whole clan to us, and occupying four suites! Happy extended families like yours are among our most satisfied customers.

Sincerely,
Efren P. Belarmino
