We booked a room at Bigfoot and indeed, Bigfoot is nice, well run--but we were shunted to a building about 250 meters away that is clearly a place designed for monthly rentals. It's called Casa Blanca Gardens.
The room we were offered was clearly flooded recently and it literally stunk of mildew. As an RN in Occupational Health I would not let employees even work in such a clearly toxic environment. The staff took our complaint lightly but did offer us another room that smelled ok.
The short of it is simple: Demand and get a guarantee that you will be staying IN the Bigfoot hotel, not in Casa Blanca and you will likely be happy.
