“Fantastic”

Great meal despite heavy rain. Nice ambience, we shared some starters, tomato salad was refreshing, clams good. Our main courses turn out great, whole roasted chicken was great to share. Pork belly n veal pasta great. Desserts of creme bulle n kalamasi tart all tasted great. Service friendly, forthcoming but not overwhelming. All in all, an excellent choice.

One of the best meals of our lives. Great views. Great service. Amazing food. Not far from the Shangri-la where we were staying. This is a must visit. Book early.

“Should be on your Bucket List!”
Reviewed June 28, 2014

Just eaten one of the best meals I have eaten in the Philippines! Abaco is situated in an exclusive boutique resort in Lapu Lapu. We arrived a little early and were treated to fantastic professional service from the front of house staff - not normal in the Philippines I can tell you! Our waiter for the wine was great and correctly managed to fill our glasses not only at the perfect moment, but without intrusion! The appetizers were fine dining quality - try the asparagus and the baked prawns! Then we had grilled salmon and a large US Grade Ribeye. Well all I can say is awesome! Finished off with a medley of sweet dishes! If you ever make up a bucket list of the restaurants you need to eat in before you die - then add this one to it for the Philippines! It is certainly on mine. I hope I won't die soon, so I intend to return again and again!

“Yumbo”
Reviewed June 26, 2014 via mobile

After reading all the reviews on this restaurant, we decided to check it out.

We were not disappointed and agree with all the other posts, this is a great European place to have a nice quiet dinner.

The staff are very attentive and friendly. Found it interesting the head chef (who is a fellow Aussie) came over to each patron and asked them how their food was. Very cool friendly guy.

Highly recommend to get the Duck and for dessert cremè brûlée ... Perfection :)
