We stayed here in July - one night, and another two nights the following week. Each time, check in took at least an hour and they didn't want to honor the reservation for 4 that I'd made thru agoda. (They did after much 'discussion'). The second time they refused to give us four towels until after my husband went down to speak to the hotel manager! After the manager approved our outrageous request (4 towels for 4 people) they brought us two clean towels but stood in the doorway until we gave them the two dirty towels. So my husband again went to talk to the manager and then they allowed us four towels. We spent four weeks in the Philippines this summer, went to a lot of one and two star guest houses and no where did we have service as terrible and rude as here. After I checked out, they also charged my credit card another 20 USD for nothing. If you're thinking of staying here, save yourselves some stress and go somewhere else.

The hotel has a good location. I was lucky to have a corner room with a great view. This was the deal maker. There are many activities available within the hotel, although I did not have time to check them out as I was there for a conference but I think this makes the hotel convenient. However, the hotel still needs to address the following important issues: weak wifi and bad/very weak water heating system, especially for the shower, which for me is basic. I don't know if they can do anything to improve the confusing elevator system since it is probably part of the structural design - I go to my room/specific areas in a roundabout way. Anyway, I finally learned how to get around. For a promo rate, this hotel is fine.

It's just fine if you're on a budget. It has all the facilities you need, in/outdoor pools, 4D cinema, edge coaster, there was an animal show at the 19th floor with photo op with a baby tiger... You got Starbucks at the ground floor, McDo at the next building open 24 hours, a convenience store, near Ayala mall, etc..

They can still improve the room which look a bit old and tired. The elevators to go around are still confusing even if its our second time here..

The staff are just fine. The guest relations manager, Ling, was very helpful. We're now at the indoor pool... The water is cold.. Grrrrr... But we're enjoying the hotel just the same.

One of the best they got is Rose Ballada from their sales Team. She is very accommodating, helpful, knowledgeable of all amenities and facilities. That's their star performer... Thanks Rose !!

Crown Regency Hotel is a one stop Hotel. It has restaurants inside, so you dont have to go outside to have your dinner, it also has bars, such as The "retro" bar,( i forgot the name) wherein they give u an old school atmosphere, they also Have Las Vegas Show which is open every night, Bar, Sky Adventure (Skywalk, Edge Coaster, zipline, wall climbing, 4D), and a shooting range located below. The rooms are clean, we stayed there twice, 1st was on February, and 2nd was on June, the bedding's are perfectly tucked and they have great bed.The CR is also clean, they have bath tub, shower, hair dryer, etc. ,, i cant say any other negative things from this Hotel. They have a very accommodating Staff, courteous and helpful as well..

For Restaurants:
Sparkz restaurant is best for dinner, it gives you a romantic atmosphere with the whole city overlooking just below you. The food are great as well, we had a dinner buffet for two and they offered 8 cuisines which are the best!

The hotel is your average tourist class hotel, not high on cleanliness, however passable. The rooms are large , no doubt, however the TV does not match the room size, 20 or 25 inch box, is just not good enough. The hotel is however great for families, with its many recreation attractions, due to which the lobby is always crowded with groups. There is no free Wi-Fi in the rooms, however, its very easy to get a sim card and get connected, at a max of 60 pesos a day. There is a 24 hours convenience store on the ground floor. Starbucks in the lobby and fast food joints just around the corner. The 60's bar is a great place to hang out, with reasonable prices. The spa is also reasonably priced and a great way to kill time with one of their 3 hour packages. Did not try the breakfast , but I'm sure it was good, for the price of the rooms, which was a very good deal. Location is right in the center of the nightlife, and with the malls around the area it should be a perfect place to stay for a few nights.
Would I stay here again, yes I would...for a few nights.

Room Tip: No comment, as could not compare rooms.

We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights using a voucher purchased from a group buying site that entitled two persons to 2 breakfast buffets, 1 lunch/dinner buffet, and one sky ride. I'll give a separate review on the sky ride. We stayed at a deluxe room.

1. There was some confusion during check-in at 11 pm, but it was relatively breezy. Couldn't help but notice that the staff for the night was a bit unprofessional, leaving the door towards the staff area open, where one could spy the rest of the front desk crew chatting, and lounging around, one sans shoes. Was this normal for a 4-star hotel?

2. We stayed in Tower 1, with a sea view. The room was spacious, with two queen-sized beds, a spacious bathroom (with bathtub, no glass door), blow dryer, complimentary water, instant coffee, and tea. Really comfy bed that looked, smelled, and felt clean.
BUT: No WiFi in the room. No bidet in the bath room. Plugs for the bath tub and sink had no chain of sorts that you end up trying to fish it out for tub and sink to drain. No extra pillows (two per bed). Pillows were slightly flimsy. We found a cookie/snack wrapper wedged between the side of the bed and the wall. Couldn't figure out how to work the television. Each lamp had it's own light switch. No dimmer for the lights. Huge windows offering a terrific view of the city. Had to keep transferring elevators though.

3. Breakfast food at Glo Café was yummy, but don't make the mistake of getting pancakes as they were rubbery both days we stayed there. Bread selection was good, though I wish they'd do something about the butter bowl (pre-sliced butter floating in icy water, clumped together). There was a conveyer-type oven for toasting bread. Two kinds of cereal available with fresh milk. Salad and fruit selections were also available, and you can have eggs cooked to your liking. Fresh orange and pineapple juice, plus brewed coffee were available as well. Had the chance to eat chorizo and chicken sausage for breakfast (those were good), ube ensaimada (divine), Spanish bread (better than "panaderia"/local bakeshop variety). Corned beef tasted a bit cheap, and no dried fish (possibly a good or bad thing).

4. Dinner buffet - We chose the restaurant that comes with the sky ride. If you have a choice, don't eat there. I made the mistake of choosing this over the Chinese restaurant in Tower 2. If the food was as bad/substandard as the one in Tower 1, at least you have a nicer ambiance. Sushi had a funny taste, like it was frozen an hour ago then left to thaw in the air-conditioned room. Food was forgettable with a relatively small selection (around 25 choices, a mix of Japanese, "International"/Spanish-inspired, Filipino, Chinese, plus Mongolian bowl, salad station, dessert station, sushi station) and not much seafood. I really wish they'd upgrade the look of this place.

5. Check-out was breezy. But the staff (in general) comes across as a bit cold.

I loved that there's a convenience store at the back. Prices though, of course, are a bit more expensive, but the convenience is worth it.

Not sure if Crown Regency Cebu is worth calling a 4-star hotel...simply because there was no bidet, and when we called housekeeping for a small sewing kit (to repair a ripped pair of shorts), they could offer me none. The location is excellent, easy to catch a cab or even a jeep to get from point A to point B. It's walking distance to excellent food places. Though the area can get seedy at odd night hours, with a girly bar being walking distance from the hotel.

Room Tip: -Choose one in Tower 1 to avoid transferring to and from rooms. -Inspect the corners if it's be...

The hotel is okay. But for a 4-star hotel, okay is not exactly very good. The lobby is small and crowded. Although it wasn't really dirty, it looked dirty because there were lots of people just passing through from the mall to the highway.

Our check in was very stressful. The staff couldn't find our reservation even though we paid in full 2 months ago. We had to remind them about the inclusions like breakfasts and welcome drinks. I also wanted to exchange some dollars on the front desk. I stood there for a good 2-3 minutes with one of the receptionists talking on the phone looking at the ceiling and the other 2 talking about something. I said “excuse me” a couple of times, but they either didn’t hear me or they pretended to not hear me. I was going to look for a manager but my friends asked me not to because we were leaving and the cab is already waiting outside. The bellhops and the lady at the concierge desk were okay, though. They were helpful.

We stayed on the 20th floor which meant taking the low rise elevator from the ground floor to the 19th floor and then transferring to the high rise from the 19th to the 20th. That’s a bit of a hassle especially since the elevator traffic isn't always light.

The room, in fairness, was nice and clean and had a REALLY GOOD VIEW. It had whatever you would expect from a hotel – 2 beds, a clean bathroom and tub – except for the TV which looked like it was 10 years old. I’m not a complainer, but for the price we paid, we were at least expecting a flat screen TV and nice service. We had to request for extra pillows, toiletries, and slippers. The room was reserved and paid for 5 people and they gave us amenities for only 2 people.

We wanted to book reservations to the Spa so we called them but the receptionist said we had to go there to book and pay there because you can’t charge it to your room. We just decided not to get massages since they were too demanding and we were tired.

Our check out was also stressful. THEY ASKED US TO BRING THE POOL TOWELS BACK TO THE 9TH FLOOR WHERE THE POOLS ARE! Seriously?! I mean are they 2 different companies that can't coordinate with each other? Can’t the housekeeping people do that? I've experienced better service in backpacking hostels and smaller hotels. Seriously.

The hotel in general was good. You don’t even have to leave the building to do a lot of things. They had a casino, an animal show, a bar, Starbucks, a mall, a convenience store, and many more. But what we enjoyed the most was the Sky Adventure on top.

We tried the Zip Line, the Tower Lift Ride, Edge Coaster, and Sky Walk. You seriously should try all of them out. They have a package that cost Php1000 for all 4. That’s a pretty good deal. But the photos are super expensive, a total rip off. They won’t even allow you to bring your own camera. Anyway, the Sky Experience really was enjoyable, must-try.

Other than the Sky Experience, nothing else is commendable.
