Which, by most standards is pretty bad.

I splurged and forked out the p2400/night for the full suite, which is actually quite large, with a very nice leatherish sofa, mini-fridge, king size bed and very nice sofa. Unfortunately, one of the toilets was malfunctioning (two bathrooms in this one), along with a number of other smaller discrepancies. Overall though, the suites are nice.

WiFi was miserable, with a dated and inconvenient access. That set the tone for the rest of the stay. Inconvenience due to mismanagement is the norm here (and most mid-range hotels in the Philippines).

Of the three meals I endured in the ground-floor cafe, all three came back incorrect (tolerable) and cold. The hotel in general, might have run better with no staff.

This negative review is not about the hotel itself, or staff, but the management, which has the usual attitude of focusing inwardly on itself, instead of its customers. With that said, you will be hard pressed to find a hotel in the price range with good service (in Cebu).

We just needed somewhere to stay for 2 nights but couldnt wait to leave diplomat hotel. Our room was old and smelled of cigarettes. The bed sheets felt greasy and dirty but arriving at 4am we had no choice but to sleep there. The pillows were thin and flat and virtually useless. The aircon was so old and noisy it wasnt worth using. The food served in the restaurant was very bad, the toast tasted sweet and the fried eggs were cooked solid and served with one rasher of very crispy bacon. Juice was cheap and sugary. With a few adjustments and updates the place could be ok. Please dont allow guests to smoke in rooms or designate non-smoking rooms! Budget shouldnt mean dirty and uncomfortable.

What a crappy, creepy, dirty, hot like a hell, noisy hotel! please do not stay in this hotel. You are wasting your money, your time and energy. The hotel itself is so damn old. Like the other reviewer said, the The rooms - old and shabby. The lobby - dark and gloomy The restaurant - not inviting. On top of it, their towels smell like hell, oily and totally worn out! you know the oily towels that you use to clean your car, thats how it looks like! we did not use their towels because our rugs outside of our house is 100 times cleaner than thir towels! the staffs were unfriendly and unpolite. The restaurant is dark and almost nobody is there to dine. Their hallways and elevators were so dark and hot like an oven! It was scarry to walk on their hallways and ride their elevators. The rooms were so untidy, smells like hell everywhere, no blankets, only thin sheets that smells like hell. I believe it was full of termites because my mom got some annoying ants or something. Stay somewhere else! Unless, you wanted to get sick! There are so many good and great hotels in cebu! Dont be fooled by the price because you get the worst cheap you could imagine!

I was referred by my brother to stay here. I booked for 4 days and avail the wedding package. During and after the stay and celebration employees are rude, inclusions on the package was untruth in other words bogus. I would not recommend anyone this hotel. It's dirty, poor customer service, employees are rude, overall this needs to be closed to the public. I am from Cebu never experiences this situation. Rating is Zero

I chose to come back after many years when I first stayed in this hotel.
Alas! The grandeur that I saw long time ago is ... gone!
I really do not know if they changed management but I was
afraid to ask.

The rooms - old and shabby.
The lobby - dark and gloomy
The restaurant - not inviting
The ambiance - creepy

The guests were suspicious ... the guest's guests were more suspicious.
I would not suggest a family to stay here unless you want your kids
to see "odd" pairs locking lips in the elevator. Cheap perfume and skimpy'
outfits donned by "girls" were just ..:(

I don't judge people but I do warn people and travellers like me to patronize this place.
It is such a waste. The location is good but the dubious establishments around it are
not doing good to this Hotel.

Room Tip: Go to a newer hotel ... There are lots sprouting all over Cebu.
