Amidst the busy city of the metro you find a place where you can relax and and unwind.
However, if you are a party animal you are just one ride away from Mango (or if you prefer to walk you can also do that) where the night life is never a bore.
It is also near the infamous Robinsons mall where you cam shop at a reasonable price. (Trust me!)
It's also one of the most famous landmark here in Cebu, the Fuente Osmena Circle. There aso standby taxis that are willing to take you anywhere.

The "old" midtown hotel is still the best. stayed here for 4days 5 nights. I was with my 2 kids & a male cousin. I requested for 2 beds in the room. 1big/1single...& on a higher level. we were belated to the 7th floor..724.. all was not met & when we reach the room, no indication of their cable channels, their facilities/amenities..the opening/closing of all, guest cant do/have night swimming which we are looking forward to as day time for us is going around the city, shopping, eating local food..it looks clean at first..true, its clean, but only to the spots where it can be seen...my baby played his toys on the floor (its not carpeted, its parquet), we are used of leaving our shoes at the door or near the door so we assume that the floor was clean & when one of the lego parts rolled under the bed,

Recent cosmetic renovations and new management but stiil an old hotel with problems.

Stayed 4 times over a three week period. Filled out the Guest comments sheet after the first stay to no avail as suggestions for improvement just didn't happen.

Staff super friendly and they do try to make your stay as best that they can.

Airconditioning in rooms is deplorable, even on the lowest possible setting it wasn't cold, even their maintence staff suggesred that I coplain to the Front Desk, did that to no avail. The rooms airconditioning needs a complete overhaul.

Only had breakfasts in their reastaurant. TGhdey don't cater for westerners, The cater thrir breakfasts for Filipino, Japanese and Korean guests. Bacon only available 1 day per week and only sweet Filipino bread on most days. Not enough staff at breakfast, total confusion if you can get tea or coffee it is cold, requests to staff went unserviced.

While the guest rooms appeared to be clean it was only cosmetic, inspection under the bed and under furniture disclosed balls of fluff, haikr and dust.

Depending on which side of the hotel your room is situated it can be very noisy at night.

I will begin with the worst part of my experience: Restaurants customer service!! In the morning it is very good to awesome..greetings thank, you, do you need anything, coffee, etc..In the evening!! Dreadful!! expect a greeting but thats all. I went for dinner the first night..was greeted and seated and then i had to ask for someone to take my order...never saw them again during my meal, had to ask several times for my check. I only went to breakfast b/c it was complimentary...completely different experience. I would expect to be treated like crap when im not paying for food and like a king when i am paying.

The pool is not a pool its an oversized bathtub that was only available 4 out of the 7 days i was staying due to "water treatment" wth.

By the 4th day i noticed that the room was being cleaned but not being mopped?! again wth.

I had to call 3 times for the A/C, for some reason it would turn on but no cold air running.

Lastly, what is with the old, moldy, dusty, beat-up 70's gym. No wonder a gym was not advertised. No one wants to use it.

Side note: would be nice to have a coffee maker and microwave in the rooms considering there is a supermarket in Robinsons Mall downstairs, basement level.

Considering the rate you get what you pay for.

Helpful Hint: If you happen to choose to stay here, DO NOT STAY on the 5th floor/even number rooms (example:my room 522) that whole right side of the floor is a view of Central A/C or machinery who knows what on that roof, and standing water. Once or twice there were people up there during the evening. Creepy if your sleeping, relaxing or "BUSY".

Room Tip: Higher floors above 5th have better views.

The Summit Circle hotel is a lovely place to stay. I payed 1,800 peso a night without breakfast ( cheaper than some pension houses in Cebu) if you want to include breakfast add another 400 peso to your 1,800 peso bill ( which is still cheap) the breakfast has a large range of foods from pancakes and syrups, omletts cooked by the chef in front of you, cereals, fruits, coffee, tea, and all juices, toast and many spreads of your choice, and all the filipina rice dishes you can think of ... and thats just breakfast !!!!!! The summit circle has been newly renovated and is a far cry from the old look of the Midtown cebu as it was previously know. Even though i didnt mind the old Midtown, i really love the Summit Circle and the renovations have been done very well. Its clean fresh and simple. The staff are fantastic and very accommodating. I've been staying there since November 2011 and was there as recently as March 27th 2012. There is free wifi in the rooms and lobby and it is fast and reliable. The rooms boast nice views across Cebu and down along Mango Terrace. The hotel sit alongside Robinsons, so stocking the bar fridge in your room with snack, food and drink is easy. The TV in the room is a large flat screen( although not HD) but who cares the shower and toilet room is a little small but its ok. Its clean and the shower presure is great and always hot. The beds are king size and are really omfortable and firm and the airconditioning is modern ( remote controlled for cold and warm if you wish) and quiet. There is an outside pool but its not large and its waist deep only but good enough to do a small lap in or just sit around and keep cool in. There is a bar beside it where you may order drinks and other condiments. My advice is go there, try for yourself and enjoy it. You may just be pleasantly surprised and how affordable it is and how good the quality of food and service is. 9 out of 10 from me!

Room Tip: Best to ask for a non smoking room even if you are a smoker. Its nothing but a short trip in the ele...

Very helpful hotel staff. Check in was no hassle. We were able to check in early with no additional charges. This is an old hotel which is recently renovated. The reception area is spacious and nicely decorated. The rooms are standard. We were given a room at the 5th floor and we had very easy access to the pool. The pool is quite small but ok. They don't have bath tubs in any of the rooms (I asked, and they said they took the tubs out for those that had them before - prior to renovation). We got the room at a relatively low price. Shops and Robinson's Department Store and Supermarket is just below the hotel so you can easily get anything you need for your stay - like tooth brushes and toothpaste, which the hotel did not provide. But then we got the "no-frills" accommodation so maybe they took the toothbrushes out (?). Breakfast is buffet (it does not come with the no-frills package as well). I like the location a lot because it's right at Fuente Circle and near downtown. And Abuhan Pochero Restaurant which boasts of yummy pochero is right beside it. Shamrock is there too. Hotel management may have to check the air conditioners because ours wasn't emitting that much cold air (and it's summer time already). We would have stayed longer at this hotel but we decided to transfer to a newer hotel even if it cost a lot more because we couldn't sleep comfortably from the slightly warm temperature. We didn't bother to inform the front desk because it was already late in the night. we felt that the room wasn't getting any colder (we assumed it would take some time to get the room to cooler temperature because power was off while we were out so we didn't complain earlier within a few hours from getting back to the room). the room wasn't hot or very warm that we were sweating, but it wasn't getting cooler even if we adjusted the temperature to the lowest (coldest) level. there's free wifi connection inside the room though.
