located along mabine st the architecture of the church is typical of Spanish colonial churches in the country, namely, squat and with thick walls to withstand typhoons and other natural calamities. The facade features a trefoil-shaped pediment, which is decorated with carved relieves of floral motifs, an IHS inscription and a pair of griffins. The Spanish Royal Coat of Arms is emblazoned in low relief above the main entrance, reflecting perhaps the contribution of the Spanish monarch to its construction.

We had that museum tour in our school and we visit this one but I didn't really enjoyed much since i was not interested to learn history.

Worth a visit to see hows the church in Philipines. Classic church feel. You can see people doing prayers inside so be considerable. Not much touts as its a more local church place rather than a travellers attractions.

The best part about the Cathedral Museum is its architecture, with its capiz-shell windows, and huge planks of wooden floors. It's right next door to the Cathedral itself, and both structures aren't that far from many other historic sites in Old Cebu: Santo Nino Basilica (which by the way has a charming small museum); Fort San Pedro, Yap-Sandiego House, Old Jesuit House, and Museo Sugbo. Definitely worth a visit.
