“Staff members Not helpful”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

There is a fee to get in. The place itself is all right, but the staff members are not that helpful, and in fact they are somewhat aloof and even rude.

“Lovely House and Museum”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

This makes a lovely visit. The house is beautiful, as are the original contents, furniture and antiques - it really gives one an impression of what life must have been like during Spanish Colonial times.
I highly recommend it!
It was also a good place to buy postcards!

“Interesting...”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

If you're in Cebu, it's nice to visit museums to discover how the rich Filipino-Cebuanos lived during the Spanish era. Casa Gorordo Museum shows exactly just that. Again, like any other tour places, it's good to read a little about the area before going there so that you'd appreciate it more - and enjoy the area more. When we went to the museum, there was no one to bring us around and explain the practice during those era.

“Good but FAKE!”
Reviewed December 17, 2012

The museum is pretty nice but I doubt it's originality seeing tiles as their wall. The guy said it's 80% original but some furnitures are like made of mahogany. Sure, the place is nice but not what you could expect from a house that existed for hundreds of years already.
Accepts students fee so I didnt really feel bad for PH15 entrance fee.

“Over-rated Cebu Museum”
Reviewed December 16, 2012

The Casa Gorordo Museum has the potential of being an excellent museum, but it is a lackluster place, especially when compared to the more dynamic museums in Old Cebu such as the lively Yap-Sandiego House, Old Jesuit House, and Museo Sugbo.

Staff members shuffle about like public employees and seem bored and even rude.
The house itself is lovely; but there is a lack of feeling and vitality in the place.
