ok i was expecting a bit more than just a cross but the history that backs it is quite interesting. the devotees are all down to earth and you can really see their passion. a must visit place if you want to know more about cebu

It's basically a preserved colonial relic, not terribly interesting on its own. If you're willing to brave the horde of candle vendors, pilgrims, and organized tour groups, then go ahead, make it a stop on your Downtown/Parian/Colon itinerary. Otherwise, there are better places to experience living history.

It is beside the Santo Nino Basilica so one should not miss this. It is undergoing repair because of the 7.0 earthquake. But this does not deter devotees from visiting the cross. There are women prayer warriors selling multicolored candles and who will also pray for you.

As the locals would say, you haven't completed your trip to Cebu if you have not gone to Magellan's Cross. Check this out!
