It's just a few walks to Santo Nino Basilica.
They need to beautify the place especially the garden area. There are benches but no shades or tree.

It's amazing to be at the site of Magellan's Cross when it was only seen in our books before. Multi colored candles being offered here are only placed at the altar and not lighted. There are lady offerors everywhere to send off your prayers.

It is always with ambiguity when one celebrates the conquering of a native people. The planting of the cross was the first step in Spanish conquest of the Philippines. It is said that the original cross is encased the current one. It is easy to see and free--and right near the basilica (which is also free except for a donation.
