For the past 10 yrs I have used GP hotel when staying in Cebu. While it is an older hotel surrounded by many new ones I'm still drawn back to it. The staff are friendly, the food is good & it is not expensive like the newer hotels. It is also very handy to IT Park & Ayalla & SM. Give it a try I'm sure you will be glad you did.

Room Tip: most rooms have a decent veiw

I stayed in this hotel overnight last September 18-19, and we had a very bad experience with the service. They don't have a proper parking area for large vehicles (like SUVs). Their basement parking could only accommodate motorcycles or small, compact vehicles. They told us they had a parking area behind the building, and when we got there is was full, the guard on duty wasn't much help and almost didn't let us park on the single space that was left because it was supposedly "reserved". The buffet lunch wasn't much, it was only a choice of 4 entrees, and since we were dining with a large group of students on a field trip, they ran out of food quickly and it took them several minutes to add more food. The room was average, clean but not pristine. The worst was the breakfast the next day. When we got to the cafe, they told us there was no free breakfast included in our room accommodation, and when we insisted that we were told that it was included in the booking, THEY asked US to talk to the front desk to sort it out. They made us wait for 30 minutes before they actually called the front desk. To make matters worse, the front desk personnel told us that their sales officer (with whom we made the transaction with) made a mistake because usually there was no breakfast included with our type of accommodation. Total [--]. Since I couldn't show the hotel voucher that we used during check in since it was with our companion who left early morning for the airport, they did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help us out. We decided to check out early and eat somewhere else. Before we left, I distinctly told the front desk personnel that we were extremely disappointed with their service and that this matter should be forwarded to higher management. I don't know if my feedback was documented at all, but I've definitely expressed it here. Too bad for them, because I'm in the travel industry, we book hotels in Cebu all the time, and we're never recommending this hotel to our clients or anyone else.

If you want to stay in a Hotel somewhere n the center of Cebu that is not so expensive and yet gives a proper accommodation and service, then this is a good place to stay. :)
yeah, it's cool. just fine. ah, yeah. hahaha. XD

We enjoyed our stay in the hotel, the room is good, food is delicious staff are customer focus. I had a chance to talk to their new and young hotel manager and he said that the hotel will be renovating soon. The price is right for the accommodation. we will come back when in cebu again.

Avoid this hotel. Bed bugs. Water leaks from windows in many rooms, Rooms smelly and very old. Damage on closets, tables, carpets, doors, the list is endless. Bath room with only cold or too hot water. Maintenance fixed this many times, no improvement. Tiny small old TV and channels don't work most of the times, disturbance, never fixed. Curtains are thin and sun shine in the room before 6am. 2 elevators but first 8 floors are rented out to companies, so expect 3-5 minute waits to get the elevator. Staff are a joke, unprofessional, and don't care about complaints. Tour groups, school trips, big parties, this place get very noisy. This hotel is run down and should be demolished. Hotel looks somehow impressive outside and entrance but wait to you see the rooms. This hotel make Faulty Towers look like a 5 star hotel. Photos talk for themselves.

Room Tip: Do yourself a favor, avoid this hotel.
