I stayed here twice during my trip to Cebu. The reception is located on the 2nd floor. My room was modern, clean, compact with limited shelving. Clean bedding and comfortable. On one stayover the aircon wasn't working but this was rectified within minutes. The bathroom has a soap dispenser including the shower recess which I'm not a fan of as I like my cake of soap but I understand it it's a cost saving measure. Good water pressure with hot water. The 24hr 7-11 across the driveway is handy. There is usually a taxi or two hanging around at the front.
It's about a 10 minute walk to Ayalla Mall which is worth visiting. I can recommend Yolo Massage which is only about 40m away. I would recommend for a short stay only. I thought the pricepoint for what you get was a little high but then I haven't done a comparative study of hotel costs in Cebu City. All the staff have been well trained including acknowledging your presence at all times.

arrived late and had only a few hours before early morning flight. but the bed is comfortable so even just a few hours sleep is fine. there are taxi directly in front of the hotels and 7/11 next door so u can grab an early coffee on the way to airport as well

Red Planet is a standard 2-star property appropriate for the traveler who wishes to economize on expense without compromising comfort. Although located in an area of the city a bit distant from main tourists sites that are a short taxi ride away, the Red Planet is a three-minute walk from the city’s Ayala Centre mall with its vast array of coffee shops, fast food restaurants and better dining establishments.
Though the hotel is located on busy Archbishop Reyes Avenue, there is minimal noise from traffic. In fact, I heard no noise at all in my room on the fifth floor. The hotel is very well maintained. My room was quite clean with no bugs or unpleasant odors. There is adequate lighting, excellent air-conditioning, a TV, plastic clothes hangers, and hairdryer. There are two electric outlets—one on each side of the bed. Hot water is available in the bathroom at all hours. The bathroom has two dispensers of liquid soap, which, according to info printed on the dispenser, can be used as shampoo and conditioner as well as for washing then body. Hotel employees are very pleasant, courteous and attentive.
