Spent a weekend in the hotel. Got two connecting rooms to accommodate the four of us. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast buffet spread was wide and impressive. Their breads are very good. The hotel pool on the seventh floor is quite nice, with two double loungers placed under a trellis. Plus, right across the street is the Ayala mall.

We recently stayed at the Quest Hotel in Cebu, Philippines for 5 nights. Room 729.

This is a fantastic Hotel, we could not fault the Staff or Management. They were extremely helpful in all areas, transport, tours room service, baggage etc.
The breakfast variety was plentiful and the Hotel restaurant was magnificent.
Our room was very nice, comfy bed and the bathroom was plenty big enough. The WiFi in the room also was fantastic. The cost was very reasonable for what you get, the quality of the Hotel, we would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is in a fantastic location directly opposite the Ayla Centre with many levels of shops and an amazing variety of restaurants to choose from.

However, my suggestion ( and the Hotel’s) is don’t even try to cross the road without the help of security guard to stop the traffic ( they will do this no charge)… They are actually employed to help you cross the road, as the hotel understands it is busy and very dangerous.

I speak from experience, as on the 3 day into our stay, my husband and I were crossing the road to go out for dinner, and my hubby was hit by a taxi, it was completely his fault, he stepped out from the curb into the car, and the car side swiped him. He was extremely lucky – he has survived. The hotel organised ambulances police etc etc….. escorted us to hospital and the Hotel Nurse stayed with us to ensure we were ok. This hotel bent over backwards to ensure we were ok. They were very sorry for the accident and treated us like royalty for the next 3 days of our stay, the Nurse came twice a day to re-dress his wounds and bring ice etc. I must say this accident was not the Hotel’s fault, it was ours. The Hotel have actually tried to get the Government to build an overpass for guests to cross the road with ease – but to no avail at this stage.

If we only knew that the cost of a taxi to get across the busy road would be 50P. ie:$1.25

In summary - Don’t let the road deter you, it is a very very good hotel, in a fabulous location with amazingly helpful and friendly staff. BUT - Don’t even try to cross the road.

Thanks Quest Cebu – we appreciated your love and concern for us.

Room Tip: Overlooking the pool is nice.

We booked for an overnight stay last July 2012 and we made reservations for the Sunday brunch promo. We were pleasantly surprised when the manager & staff came to our table singing "happy birthday" to my husband with matching birthday cake!! We commend their great service and utmost courtesy of all the staff.. The reception even granted our request for an early checkin at 12nn instead of the 2pm sked.. The buffet lunch and buffet breakfast have great selection of sumptuous dishes.. Great value for money.. We'll definitely come back and will recommend this hotel to family and friends.. Two thumbs up for service !!!

I noted that many people mentioned the difficulty crossing Archbishop Reyes Ave to access Ayala.

I was just there and must comment that there was a security guard there to help hotel guests. (Yesterday morning it was raining and they offered to walk me to the Mall under an umbrella [as all the other guests had already borrowed the umbrellas].)

One of the best things about this hotel is the convenience to the Ayala Mall. The Terraces at Ayala are a great place to eat out at night and there is so much variety. (I admit that the Marriott is also near the mall but Quest is much better value.)

Room Tip: Try the breakfast buffet ...but be sure to ask nicely for some mango.

Booked two double rooms for 2 nights. The hotel lobby was pretty impressive. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel staff were friendly and efficient. We experienced blackouts for the first night, which we didn't think much of as the hotel was still in its soft launch phase. Each time we boarded a cab from the lobby, the security guard or the porter took down our cab number, our room number, and our destination. I don't know if this is a temporary security measure due to the ongoing terrorism issues as I noticed there were security guards in every building that i passed by but my friend who had been to Cebu previously did not have the same experience as I did.

The Ayala Mall is located just opposite the hotel but you need some skills in crossing the busy road to get to the Mall. Apparently it seems that the blackouts were common either in the area or throughout Cebu as the two days we were at Ayala, blackouts happened every half an hour or so.
