Located at Fuente Osmena Blvd, along the circle, this famous street food is one of real cebu culinary experience. You choose your bbq meat on stick, they'll cook it for you and you eat with Hanging rice(only in cebu). If you are more adventurous try the Chicken Gizzard, butt, liver, feet, head and neck.

I've been to Larsian many times since 2009 mostly late at night when everything else but Mcdonalds in cebu is closed.

Here are the Pluses:

Authentic Pinoy bbq experience , be prepared to use your hands and bring your own paper towels or other accessories.

Good BBQ but quality can vary from stall to stall, night to night, but you can go around and look at what you want to cook and in most places even watch it being cooked.

You are supporting a local Pinoy business, most likely a family business.

The Not So Good for some:

The ambience is like being in a food court and prices are not displayed so you will have to be on your guard for price gouging, and quality can vary from place to place, day to day. Some stalls may not even have a fridge.if you can go with locals you will get better results.

It is like eating outdoors, people are coming in and out all the time....at times you may face some begging from kids, but unfortunately that's a fact of life everywhere in Philippines.
I am okay with it if I'm out and walking, but while dining it's not so good.

Recommend to try: Puso and Pork BBQ sticks

Crown Regency Hotel & Towers are just 10min walk to Larsian. It's safe, clean, & lots of food choices. It was a good thing I read about Cebu blogs that I found out about Larsian. Lots of BBQ stalls offering almost the same meat, chicken, chorizo, squid. Different stalls have different prices so it's better to check per stall first if you're on a tight budget.
MAX BBQ: {no free soup, slow service}
Chicken Petso 60; BBQ no fats 5/stick; Chorizo 15; "puso" rice 3
MANO'S PLACE {no free soup} Grilled Squid 90
ALINDASAY {free soup, w/ electric fan, discounts} Liempo 80; Squid 65; BBQ no fats 5, Chicken Petso 50; "puso" rice 3
We enjoyed our order in Alindasay, service was faster, tasty meats, attentive staffs.

First time I tried this place was almost a decade ago. The place was....well..... very ungastronomic. Not your usual restaurant. Not your usual sidestreet restaurant even. Just a group of small eateries that just happened to be located side by side. The place was not clean and you would think that everyone who would even dare eat there would have to take home a disease of sorts. But I noticed that there were cars parked outside and people would come in their office or even hospital attire, as the place was just beside a big hospital. Eating there would be doctors, nurses, and maybe even some patients who have not checked in yet. So I thought if doctors eat here, it must be ok. Then I tasted the food. Hands down, probably the best chorizo I have ever tasted. And from then on I was hooked.

Last year I visited the place again, and it was not its "usual" self. It was a lot cleaner, and well arranged. It was a big tent. The tables were in the center of the tent and the restos were situated around the tables but still inside the big tent. Same great food though and same great price. But then again, just like before, after eating, you need to change clothes as your shirt will definitely smell barbecue.

Yesterday I was there again, and the place has greatly improved. The order stations were still on the side, but the grilling stations were all in the middle. There is a gap in the roof for the smoke to exit thus minimizing the barbecue cologne. Same great food, same great price.

Will I come back? Hell yeah, love this place!

the best thing abt a Cebu visit is trying out Cebuano cuisine. and the local fare at Larsian is not to be missed. they offer a wide range of meats perfect for grilling. the setting may not be fancy ,but eating w/ your hands is certainly a unique experience
