Taboan is a stone throw away from Carbon. It's where one will be able to find a wide variety of dried fish from dilis, danggit, espada, pusit etc. there are also goodies to bring home. The place stinks bec it is in the first place a market. Besides, expect this where dried fish abounds. The saleslady even gave us some dried stuff to try. This place is where Carbon's dried fish vendors buy their goods to sell for retail. If you love dried fish, this is a must visit!

Me and a friend went here on our last day in Cebu. Location is way stinky but amazing for what it is. The whole market does not only consists of dried fishes, squids and what not..but they also have an area where some traditional all made in Cebu items were being sold. So if you want to get something to bring home from Cebu, whether it's dried goods or a hat this is the cheap way to go. Theres beggars though so you should learn to say "no" because if you opt to give some to one more would come to you. But indeed a place to see in Cebu..as the area as much as it stinks is way cleaner that markets in Manila. Be sure to bring an extra shirt as the aroma will definitely stick in your clothes ;)

It is where different varieties of dried fishes from all over the philippines were sold.
The store BELEN & TITING DRIED FISH offers variety of dried fishes at good quality and reasonable prices.
Walang halong maalat ang unsalted danggit nila.
Pasalubong can also be bought there, delicacies and souvenir shirts.

This place can be dangerous if you move alone, too much strange people moving around and money beggars will annoy you all the time.

Probably its ok place for native people but not for tourists to visit.

You can choose from a variety of sellers. Though I can't say much if you're looking for pasalubong and souvenirs as they're overly priced for a public market.
