i used to come here a lot with my friends. hey, its an all-you-can-eat resto, who wouldnt love this place? but on my last two visits, apparently their food had become too economized., "makalato" is the cebuano word it. i'll check in again in a year or two, see if it has changed.

I can't remember when I was last in the Royal Concourse but it has been many years. I was walking past today and I thought I am hungry, it is time to eat.

The price certainly has gone up a lot but it is still value for money for Cebu City. which means it is really cheap by foreign standards.

The royal concourse is not a restaurant in the traditional sense. It is a huge open hall that seats about 500 people on long bench tables. Each table seats 12. So, it is not the place for a romantic date.

I have marked it as average, not because it is average but because by restaurant standards you are not getting your usual restaurant expectations such as water service. As an all you can eat place, it rates an excellent. They call it the "Super Buffet", and it is!

You pay as you enter.

The price is P208 for all you can eat and drink.

The all you can drink includes fruit shakes, lemonade and iced tea. There are alcoholic drinks for sale at an extra cost

The all you can eat, for my visit anyway, included
- Fried rice and plain rice
- Multiple choice of vegetables
- Multiple choice of salads
- Multiple choice of fruit. Fresh fruit such as watermelon and fried fruit such as fried banana.
- At least one soup
- Prawn crackers
- Spring rolls (lumpia is the local term but if you are American, you might call them egg rolls))
- Prawns (shrimps), cooked in batter
- Mussels
- Crab in the shell. That is the crab meat was removed cooked up in some nice mixture and put back in the shell afterward. Lami Kaayo! (Very tasty)
- About 10 main dishes. These included multiple dishes of pork and chicken cooked in different styles and other dishes.

Previously they had no toilet tissue if you needed to go to the CR (bathroom) but I was pleasantly surprised to see it supplied today. Not in each stall but on a huge roll by the door. Get your supply before you enter the stall.

Wowowee! Eat all you can... Hahaha... Very very good food... When we dine there, I think they have offered 15 varieties of main dishes with the soup, varieties of fruits, varieties of desserts, varieties of rice, varieties of beverages plus the fact that it is offered for only 208 pesos per person! Delicious!

The ambiance is not so great but you go there to eat right? It used to be a nice place for social events, now it just feels like a bit of a higher end of a cafeteria, just to be honest. The food is good, you get to choose from a lot of different cuisines. The juices are unlimited, so for its price I guess its a value for money.
