Description: Maya was created to be a casual restaurant and tequila lounge: laid back and subtle, with efficient service and reasonably priced. The sophisticated yet casual allure of Maya seamlessly blends old world charm with modern elegance. Succulent aromas from the kitchen mix tradition and ingenuity while setting the stage for your dining pleasure. Maya also has the largest selection of 100% pure agave tequilas in the country, which in addition to our premium house pours are sure to charm.Maya is committed to the timeless tradition of Mexican food – utilizing countless ingredients and dishes, and perhaps most importantly, the rich family tradition of preparation, which is done by hand using the freshest local ingredients that are regionally available. By embracing both Mexican tradition and local sensibility, we offer a creatively classic cuisine that unites well-known Mexican street food from the stalls of Mexico City and family dishes from the coast of the Mayan Riviera and the inventiveness of the Hispanic American communities of California and the American Southwest.

Maya looks impressive from the outside and looks very nice on the inside. It caters to the AB market, and nothing wrong with that. If only the food would also be as good as the prices they charged for it. It is at best, average. And the margaritas we had, maybe we came at an off night, but watery???With the prices charged, no excuse for that. As I said, all for show.

I like this restaurant. It's got great atmosphere... I wouldn't call it cheap and i am glad for that. Everything is handmade and the ingredients fresh and right on the dot - probably as close as you can get to authentic Mexican in the Philippines but with a dash of Tex-Mex. if you do go, see if Chef Aimee is around. She will explain her passion for the food and help you order!

The margaritas come in several choices and are actually good, when compared to other restobars that serve their own version of margaritas. The food serving size is average, but prices are steep. Its steep for mexican food and drinks, and steep for Philippine standards. You have to pay for the restaurant's interior setup and the owner's tendency for upper market, as this restaurant has the same owners as Abaca.

Passed by for happy hour and their Maya Margaritas were excellent! Had the nachos with chili con carne which had a lot of toppings on really crisp, thin nachos. Their chicken quesadillas were good (not fantastic) and their soft tacos were good too. The burritos were huge and really filling. Let's just say we didn't make it to our dinner reservations after as we were all stuffed and happily drunk after!
