“A Nice Modern Taoist Temple”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 26, 2014

This is a very modern Taoist Temple. If you have never been to China, it is a great chance to see what this is like. It is in the hills outside above Cebu, and takes a bit of time to get there. You have to climb a fair number of steps, but it is never really crowded. Besides the temple itself, there are amazing views of Cebu available. You might have to wait a bit to get a taxi back to town (I walked quite a ways down the hill, but beware, there are few sidewalks, though drivers are looking out for pedestrians - IMHO). This is good for a short visit. This is a working temple, though open. So, it doesn't have so much for tourists. I would suggest that this is a good place to go with a guide who could give you more information about what you are seeing. A nice, but not great visit. If you go there, consider going in a group and including other top of the hill locations.

“we should have worn red too”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2014

its a challenging climb beacause its situated up in the mountain, no problem if you have your own vehicle. during our visit there's a lot of people mostly chinese doing there tao ceremonies, almost everybody wore red. new to our eyes its really colorfull and perfect for picture taking, it requires a lot of energy to get there, while we were luck to catch a cab going to the crowne regency. this is also a must visit. others said this is far but, no destination far enough if you are determined enough to visit this place :)

“Beautiful temple, great views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2014

Best to get a taxi or car here. It's a bit tricky to get to for a family by public transport. The drive is certainly worth it. The views are extensive over Cebu city. The colours and architecture make for great photos. The atmosphere is so serene , you can't help but feel at peace.
We hired a driver for six hours for 2000 pesos. We were able to see a few other sights in that time too.
A must see in Cebu. It's a great way to escape the traffic and crowds.

“Nice view and temple”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 12, 2014

I like this temple since it's beautiful and got a very nice view of Cebu. Too bad you can't take pic on the inside of the temple. If you take taxi here be prepare to walk a bit to find a taxi on the main street.
