Location is it's strongest aspect, as it is right in front of a major road and hence ample transportation options. Taxis and Grab won't have a hard time dropping you off and picking you up. Room is very clean and modern, with plenty of spaces to place your luggage and other stuff. The first three floors also host several cafes and other services the hotel may not directly have so it is still very convenient. This is perfect for business travelers and couples.

This hotel is okay for one or two nights but I wouldn’t have liked to stay for longer. The room didn’t look much like the photos online. In the photos it looks colorful but in real life it doesn’t meet those expectations. The sink in the bathroom had hair in it and the lamp above the bed was full of dust. The curtain didn’t keep the light out and had brown stains all over it. One time when we left our room the door handle fell off completely, however it was fixed within a short time which we appreciated. The service was actually quite good. Other positives were that the bed was comfortable (although a bit hard) and the WIFI worked well in our room. Good enough for a short stay!

Not quite sure why ABC Hotel gets some many excellent reviews, maybe because it gets many of the basics you expect from a hotel right... And so many hotels in the Philippines sadly don’t.
But lots of new accommodation options have opened in Cebu at similar rates so the quirks of ABC stand out.

The hotel is clean, the staff are friendly and the location near the rotunda is good for getting around the city by jeepny.

But: the double bed is actually two singles pushed together - which is fine lots of hotels do it - but not so good when you wake up on the floor as the beds have split on the shinny floor. A simple locking bar would fix what became a frustrating problem.

The mattress in my room was soo softy and spongy.

There are no fridges in the room! Just chillers. A very strange option, drinks don’t get cold, and the temperature is not low enough to store food safely.

The WiFi is very slow.
Water pressure in the shower is ok but not great

Yes these are ‘first world’ problems, and even a couple of years ago what ABC offers would have been an oasis in a sea of mediocrity. But times are a changing in Cebu city, which is great for visitors.

I was really impressed with ABC Hotel. The room was nice and cozy and equivalent to a modern studio unit in a Cebu City condo high rise. The A/C worked great and the shower gets very hot (which is important to me). They include a solid array of toiletries.

The hotel is in an area of the city experiencing a massive tourism boom. There are now many new hotels in the area, and with this boom comes plenty of dining and transportation options. If you're like me, you hate taking the taxi. There are loads of jeepney routes that runs up and down Ramos and Osmena. There are free buses at the Fuente circle to SM Seaside and Robinson's Galleria. And of course, the nightlife area at Mango Square is withing easy walking distance.

At the base of the hotel are two great amenities. First, there's a convenience store. Second, there's a laundromat. There's a security guard on watch and I like how he's mostly unobtrusive.

Please note they will ask a P1000 security deposit on check-in. If you don't have it, you can also pay with equivalent foreign currency (like $20 USD).

The hotel is in an excellent location. Great restaurant Casa Verde is right behing the hotel. 7 Eleven and excellent coffee shop are right acrosse street. Robinson mall is 400 m away. If you like a party Mango Square with bars and clubs is 700 m from the hotel. Room was very clean and nice as well as the bathroom but the real value of the hotel is the staff. I traveled half of the world and stayed in many hotels but so nice, friendly and helpful staff I rarely met.
