“Refreshing and Relaxing”
Reviewed May 24, 2011

Just a few minutes taxi ride from downtown Davao City is the lush greenery of Ma-a called tha GAP Farm. With an entrance fee of Php 30.00, three urbanites like us were able to experience half a day , a taste of rural farm life with a bit of education. Aside from the numerous fruit trees (wow ! cashew and pomelos), picnic spopts, an inviting swimming pool, brick-paved walkways , and a souvenir shop playing traditional folk music, we enjoyed the figurines depicting typical farm animals, busts of Philippine presidents, a horseback-riding Gabriela Silang, national heroes, ethnic groups of the three regions of the country and our favorite - replicas of lower Philippine mythology (I like the good-looking "tikbalang"), not to mention the large water buffalo with a farmer on its back at the entrance...Its greenery all around...................Indeed it was a refrershing and relaxing time well-spent at the farm ...

“Somewhere new”
Reviewed April 2, 2011

GAP is appropriately dubbed the land of promise because visiting this place promises to be an unforgettable experience.

This place is perfect for nature lovers. The lush green scenery and the abundant varieties of trees, flowers and plants is a sight to behold.

At night the place becomes even more peaceful and serene that it becomes romantic. Its definitely a great and unique dating spot if you're tired of the usual dating places in Davao.

The swimming pool is clean, big and deep. Only cost us 50 per person. The entrance is also cheap. The WiFi connection is surprisingly fast. There is also a restaurant that serves good filipino cuisine.

Its great to take a swim in the day and take a stroll around the area in the afternoon.

We had really had a great time. Bought souvenirs on our way out. Wish they had GAP tshirts though.

It is also near most attractions in davao so it is easy to go hopping from one attraction to the next.

“Very strange place”
Reviewed January 16, 2006

The GAP farm is not far away from the Crocodile park near Davao so you can visit it if you plan to check the Philippine freshwater crocodile conservation area, although I wouldn't recommend such a visit of this so called farm.
I really don't know how to rate this very strange place - I have visited it and I still don't know how to classify this attraction and what is its purpose as a tourist destination... It's a weird place (even the staff was weird if you ask me!)- a mixture of different things (you can see that even at the photos that i am adding here) - nice nature, giant stone tables, religious sign-boards everywhere, strange collections of statues including such of Filipino demons(I did like the collection representing the different regions and tribes of the Philippines though), etc...
Anyway, may be you should visit it and decide for yourself - unlike all the other Davao attractions this one really left me with mixed feelings!
