My "Kilometer Zero" of Davao because it is where the first settlers set up residence. To this day, the cathedral is still the locals place of worship. Take the time to check out the side chapel on the right, next to the candle section. This is the original altar ( unfortunately repainted to a noveau and glossy tint) and gives an idea of the size of the original structure.

Everyone can access whenever they come to Davao City before their shopping itinerary. It can accommodate more people. A very nice architectural design with large open sides to get more air.

Best place to attend mass at its schedule.

When lonely and sad and happy too - go to church and pray. Right in the center of the city. A holy place with daily masses.

The first place my family and I visited when we arrived in Davao was San Pedro Cathedral. That is to thank God for our safe trip. It is located in the heart of the city. It is in front of Sangunihan Panlunsod or the City Council Office.

The cathedral is like a huge ark making me recall of Noah's Ark where Noah called the people to be saved from the great flood. Maybe, the cathedral was designed that way so as to call for us to come into the abode of God's salvation.
The cathedral has two wings aside from the middle portion where the main altar is located. The right wing houses the different statues of saints that includes of course St. Peter. It is actually like a small chapel. The left wing likewise houses a huge image of Jesus Christ and series of confession rooms. The confession rooms may have been planned to be near the huge image of Jesus Christ to remind us again that whoever seeks forgiveness, God is always there to accept us once again.

Mass, aside from their regular schedules, is also offered on weekdays at noon from 12:00 to 12:30nn.
