A cool place to dine out with friends, lots of different food styles and a nice band playing. Go early cause they stop sooner than on other islands (around 1:30am). If you want conversation find a table in the back. If you're a smoker be aware you're in Davao, means "no smoking in food places"..find the smoking area somewhere out on the right side in the raining section. I go there at least once when i am in Davao. A tiny version of the closed Suan Lum Beergarden in Bangkok.

MTS is a haven for music lovers, food lovers and the shoppaholics! Various bars, restaurants and food stalls cater to every picky eaters. From dining alfresco to dining with live bands, MTS is the place to be when you cant decide what/where to eat in Davao. A favorite of mine is the sisig dinakdakan at Kanto Bar. Another yummy treat which is very hazardous to waistlines is the crispy tenga and chicharong bulaklak served by one of the food stalls at taboan. At weekends, one can shop at the night bazaar for ukay ukay, trinkets, bags, uber cheap blouses and whatnots, muffins and cakes, etc. For those who does not want to spend a dime, the park is free- u can relax and enjoy looking at skaters, dancers, gymnast, barristas who flock the area to practice. There used to be a giant/almost lifesized chessboard but sadly they had it removed.

We went here at around 11PM to relax after our strenuous itinerary. I just want to drink a couple of beers and eat some local food. There's a live band playing. It's ambiance is similar to Central of Manila. After we ate our dinner at around 15 past midnight, we ordered 2 buckets of beers. At 1AM, the band stopped playing and some restos closing. At 1:45AM, you can only imagine how my friends reacted when they started to turn off all the lamp posts. I'm indifferent but my friends were so pissed off. The following day, we decided to hit the place at around 7PM. By the way, they only have one smoking area so be prepared for a little inconvenience.

MTS is a very small and compact commercial area. Head for the back where a Foping's (not sure about the spelling) cart sells halo halo and bibingka. Generous and delicious ingredients. Yummy!
