I liked everything inside Peoples Park, I like the Bamboo Tress, and the native local statue with a good harvest of fruits and also the Philippine Eagle Statue, So nice and relaxing to stay there together with your family.

I had read a few reviews of this Park & thought it was worth taking a look at myself. It was an extremely hot afternoon but under the trees in the park it was just lovely. A couple of reviews from people from Europe wrote of their disappointment but seemed to have come with preconceived ideas about what the park should be - quite narrow minded.
The park was spacious & well laid out & reflected the Filipino life. Unfortunately the artificial waterfall was out of action but the rest of the park was worth the visit. Nice to have green spaces in the middle of large cities & this one provided a safe & resteful place for locals & visitors alike.

This for me is truly one of the best parks in the country. They also give priority to visiting tourists even if they are closed for the usual rounds of cleaning. What I also love about this park is the huge eagle sculpture that accurately represents Davao for being the City that preserves the Philippine Eagle. This park also houses locals who are into their dance routines and exercises. A must visit when you are in Davao.

The People's Park is a must see if you are in Davao. It's a very large city block ,or larger, gated park. You have to go through security-no weapons or cigarettes as Davao is pretty much smoke free. The park has a circular walk along the perimeter with ponds, waterfalls, a large collection of different trees from all over asia and a sitting area and water show (some nights). During Christmas season they have a synchronized light and music and water show. It also has a kids play area. Very nice to stroll around in the evening with plenty of good restaurants nearby.
