Description: Mediterranean Cuisine. Claude’s serves the best steaks in town. Their steaks are perfectly cooked to the diner’s specifications with a choice of pepper or mushroom sauce. It can also be served with either mashed potatoes, or the more popular choice, rice. Other crowd-drawers are their appetizers, salads and soups. Some appetizers which deserve to be mentioned are their salmon pate and shrimp cocktail. The pate is served with lightly toasted sliced French bread while the cocktail is full of fresh shrimp smothered with light dressing and a helping of tomatoes and avocados. Their ceasar’s salad is also easily one of the best I’ve tasted in the city.

It used to be in a smaller, cosier venue, now it has moved to a much larger one with patio, the quality has remained however true to itself: very Mediterranean, with imported delicacies and choice local produce. French Claude is the owner and he runs the restaurant with his beautiful Filipino wife. Most of the Philippines' best chefs have trained here. For a special evening out.

We had lunch at Claude's recently, and were very impressed with the food, service and ambience. The restaurant is in a beautifully renovated old house in the centre of town. The food was excellent, French/European style, and the best western food I have had in Davao. Prices are comparable with other restaurants of this quality in the Philippines, though higher than average. Highly recommended.

We dined in this restaurant at Father's Day, we had our reservations and upon arriving there we're the first customers to be served at this so called one of the expensive restauarants in Davao City. The place was a former heritage house that built in 1928... they preserve and renovate it and turned it by a restaurant. They have an some ample parking spaces. The place was classy with a touch of old home which usually the floor shakes when the waiter and customers walks. Little by little some customers arrived and i'm surprised the place was almost full... maybe it's a special day coz it's fathers day. The restaurant specializes in French in their menu they have steaks, pasta, chicken, beef, fish and they serve a duck.

When the food was served, its was very good, if you really a fan of french cuisine you can really appreciate the food. It was par with some french restaurant in Europe. No need to go there coz it's here in davao city. The owner which suppose to be Claude's was on hand on his restaurant business, he chatted with us, he always smile and has a great hospitality...

Due to great reviews, we tried out this place. We were surprised to see the setting--old house turned classy resto. One review from TA helped us: if you don't know how to pronounce the name of the dish, just point to the menu. The staff is kind enough to answer our questions regarding the food. Soon after, costumers (looks like regular ones) came in and we feel a little uncomfortable. They are all well-dressed and we were white shirt blue jeans. (hehe) Anyway, Claude greets all his guests. We ordered Australian beef steak, chicken (can't remember the exact names :)), pasta del moro, cheese cake and tea. Boyfriend loves the steak and days after he would ask me when will he be able to taste steak as good as what claude's has. Chicken is good but non-Filipino pasta is not really my type (now I know). I love the cheese cake with 3 toppings served--blueberry, mango and strawberry. The minimum price of a dish is about Php300 (if I recalled it right). Our bill for two is about Php2000.
