This was part of our San Pablo - Viaje del Sol trip. This is not a bad place to stay and perhaps the most romantic place to dine in San Pablo City. Our other choices was Casa San Pablo (modern houses) and Sitio de Amor (no TV). It was a truly romantic place to have fine dining especially at night. Service was good and friendly. Romantic background music and ambience brings the two of you back to the past during Spanish-Filipino times. I would recommend to reserve a table on the top floor though for the Capiz window. Also, better bring some mosquito repellant due to the open air. Food was fine.
The Casa is great for picture taking and is anything but haunted. I suggest you let the room attendant ventilate the room in advance to get rid of the wood smell. Much to our delight, they have a newly built swimming pool. I hope they finish constructing their plantation garden also in the future. The musuem had exhibits of various home furnishings and paper mache. It used to be an old wine cellar, school, and government building. There is a nice wall picture metal carving of former president Marcos, which my husband Ferdinand got a photo with.More
