“Black sand, great sunset”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

Bauang is one of the not-so populated beaches in the country and next to San Juan in La Union, it is a friendly area where one can island hop through the help of native fishermen. Approach one, make some kwento, and viola – you’re in for a ride to nearby islands that need not require fees. Just make sure you don’t leave trash behind.

“Nice Place”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

Bauang is not a part of San Fernando, it is a town nearby San Fernando. The sand is not white, but it boasts fine grayish sand. The beach is ideal for swimming and kayaking on summer seasons. The beach is not as crowded but not on holyweek season. Resorts are situated along the 5 kilometer coast

“alternative to surfing”
Reviewed November 16, 2012

It is a stretch of beach along the shoreline of Bauang,La Union a town before San Fernando. San Juan is to surfing but if you want to swim, this is the place to go. There are a lot of resorts that are reasonably priced here. There also bars and restaurants. Naguilian road starts in Bauang and leads to Naguilian town then to Baguio.

love the white(though not as white in boracay) and fine sands, clean waters but ocean is best for surfers and not swimmers, specially on high tide.
