Sea Park Beach Resort
Reviewed November 9, 2012

I am an Australian and live in Baguio, I have often stayed at Sea Park. I agree with the others here on the blog who say that the staff lounge around and that the service in next to none, get it yourself! I am not fussy and enjoyed the 'rustic' accommodation on the beach. At first I paid 1200 with breakfast, then 1400 with breakfast, then 1800 with breakfast and then 2200 with NO breakfast and the LAST(yes, it is/was the last time) was 2500 Pesos with NO breakfast. This was last December 2011. I don't mind if there is value for money, but there simply was NOT. As others said the place is run down and not worth the money. I'm looking for the place that is half the price with the clean pool. Tell us where it is please!!
Every one of the blogs here are the whole truth that has inspired me to tell my tale. As I read them, I envisage "Sea Park" Dear Owner, to charge the Pera that you do, you have to give value. I was a dedicated customer and you have driven me away!

Dear Owner of Sea park resort..did not stay at your hotel..but used your picnic table for the last 3 years. Dec 2010 i payed 500 pesos for 1 table..April 2011 payed 800 pesos for table..May 2012 payed 1,500 pesos for 1 table...how could you double the price within 1 year...i don't understand why you guys keep on raising your picnic table rental..its not like we are using water, electric or gasoline..its really to much for just a small wooden table..i guess i have to find another place or better yet i will bring my own umbrella..your price is rediculous..

first impression...nice white sand beach, clean place. restaurant was clean, with polite staff. cottages and gazebo looks decent enough, although on close inspection, shows wear and tear. and then, i had to use the bathroom..horrors!! it was run-down, faucet was leaking, it smelled seriously bad and there was no water to flush it with. i am not a picky traveller but the first thing i check out in my travels is the bathroom and it's for this reason that i gave this a poor rating. the resort has no pool but the beach is only a few meters from the cottages and gazebos. the restaurant and reception area was centrally-located in the resort and there were attentive and polite enough staff around. prices in the menu of the restaurant was reasonable enough but you can go to other restaurants in the area if you want value for your money. tip..scan around the san fernando area for better facilities if you still have time.

Room Tip: look elsewhere for better resorts than this one.

Dear Owner: This is something you should REALLY consider. don't wait until a CRITIC comes to visit your place.

a month ago my wife and i stayed here. room was pretty expensive for its quality -- stained walls, dirty ceiling, tiny TV, tiny bathroom, COLD water and a door which can be opened with the slightest nudge (even when locked.) towels look like rugs, blankets look like used tarps and don't even get me started on the pillows.

the staff members are quite rude, too. i have yet to meet a waiter/waitress/cashier/room attendant who actually cared about their guests. they lounge around the restaurant, bored. you'd have to call their attention AT LEAST THREE TIMES to get them to come over so you can place your order.

when we arrived, i requested the attendant for a couple glasses (which should come standard in every room. hello?!). she responded that they only have plastic disposable cups so i asked for them just the same. SHE NEVER RETURNED. when i went to the front desk to ask for those cups, it turns out they charge P3 each. we spent the night and left early the next day.

just yesterday, we came back for a day trip (as if we didn't learn our lesson). we brought drinks and some fresh oysters from the market. immediately a lady attendant called our attention, quite rudely as if we were vagrants looking for a free meal.

she said, "sir may dala kayo. one hundred each." (sir you have food and drinks with you. one hundred each.)

i clarified, "kelan pa? diba pag mag-oorder, libre na ang entrance at gamit ng shed?" (since when? isn't it that when one orders, they get free entrance and use of beach sheds?")

she replied: "baka marami lang tao kaya hindi kayo nasita." (there must have been many guests that your attention wasn't called.")

it bears to say at this point that the last time we visited for a day trip, there were not that many people. and i clarified THEN that entrance and shed use was free if we ordered.

so fine, we pay. then i ordered for a meal for two. this lady now says, "sir self service. kunin nyo dito yung pagkain." (return to get your meal.) WHAT KIND OF RESTAURANT REQUIRES GUESTS TO GET THEIR OWN MEALS? it was a really hot day! if i didn't know any better i'd say they were just too lazy to serve the meal at our shed since they'd have to cross A FEW METERS of sand. lazy people they are!

reasons why YOU SHOULDN'T VISIT THIS PLACE:

1. SLOPPY SERVICE
2. RUDE STAFF MEMBERS
3. YOU CAN COOK A BETTER-QUALITY MEAL IN YOUR GARAGE
4. FILTHY ROOMS.

you don't have to go to charm school or an expensive university to learn how to treat guests and customers. you don't have to be related to the Queen of England to know manners.

We Arrived to Sea Park after a 2 hour drive from Bagiuo, when we came in the restaurant/bar was completely empty except for all the employes who were sleeping or doing nothing, many of them didn't even hesitate to look as us as we entered..... Later on whenever we ordered even there was 5-6 staff surrounding the bar no one hesitated to take your order, most of the time you had to walk up there before one of them decided to help you.....

Any way after waiting for 5 minutes there came guy to sort out our questions and so, we got the rates and so on, after all we decided to stay for just one night because we had no idea where else to go.....

The huts they have at Sea Park is actually okay, but just way to expensive, think its properly one of the most expensive places i've stayed in Philippines ever and there was no value a tiny tv in the room, only cold water, uncomfortable bed which is also kind of small, no wi-fi in the rooms only at the restaurant where it barely didn't work as well all that for 2800 pisos plus a 5% discount because we were the only one staying there.... Woop woop.... They do have a big fridge, a table and chairs inside and its fairly spacious....

Another thing I didnt like about the place was they placed around 10 old bad looking tents on the nice beach they had in front which makes it look like a refugee camp.....
Next day we found a far better resort half the price 1300 pisos but 4 x the value came with hot and cold water, big tv 28 ", rooms were big and very clean, and there was a pool nice and clean pool, with smiling and friendly staff as well.....

Would never spend a coin there again!!!!
