My friends who I had dinner with suggested this place because they've heard a lot of good things about this restaurant.
When we entered one of the doors, no one opened for us or even greeted us. The waiter who saw us just passed by in front of us and we had to ask him if there was an available table. The maitres d or the staff in charge of assigning tables was on the other door.
We were made to wait outside which was nice if only it didn't rain. We knew we would have to wait longer than usual because they had to seat the other diners who were eating outside. We were asked to sit at the bar on the far side and we were given kropek (crackers) for the wait. Then they forgot that they had us sit on the far side and gave the available table to the guests who came after us. I was almost pissed by this but luckily they quickly found another table.
They serve boodle meals which means all the food you order are placed on a banana leaf on top of the table. For P1400, we had a lot of food served to us but it was nothing special. Their crabs barely had flesh and the seaweeds were bland. The shrimps were good though.
For the amount of food, we were pretty satisfied.
Maybe if there was still light and the weather was ok, we would have a better experience. They were located on the seaside after all.
