I have stayed at the Atrium several times if I only wanted to stay one night in Manila and then going on to Batangas. It's closeness to the JAM and Ceres terminal in Buendia always made it a desirable option and I overlooked the rather dated fixures and fittings of the hotel.
Since I last stayed there in November 2013 the place really has gone downhill, maybe in part to the new management and the new staff they have put in place.
After checking in at midnight after a long flight, I found the aircon wasn't working in my room so had a very stuffy and uncomfortable night's sleep..Not alot of sleep!!
In the bathroom the toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall, the power socket was broken and hanging of the was also. The glass table in the room had a thick layer of grime on it, suspect this was once a smoking room.
Also every light and lampshade in the room was either broken or just about to fall apart.
The worst thing was the state of the laminate flooring. I had been walking around the room and noticed my feet were black from the dirt. No idea when it was last cleaned???
Also when trying to get into my room the first night the door entry key didn't work, something which happened three times after being reset.
What really annoyed me was the reaction from the reception staff when I mentioned these problems and the time it took for anyone to come to the room to investigate.
There was no apology from them re the state of the floor and it took a couple of hours for a cleaner to arrive and likewise for someone to investigate the aircon unit.
I'm a polite guy, I don't shout, rant or 'demand' things, but an apology would have been nice. Thinking about it my money back or some goodwill gesture would have been appreciated!!
Instead nothing, just blank faces!!!
Well enough said, all I can say is unless you really are stuck and every hotel in Manila is overbooked then don't stay here.
If potential customers stay away and vote with their feet this is the only way the Management of the Atrium may do something and get their act together

Relatively dirty (bathroom/shower especially), noisy and inefficient aircon and quite noisy in general. Everything you should expect from a cheap priced hotel in Manila near(ish) Ninoy Aquino International. If you are just after somewhere to sleep for the night after getting off a plane and before getting the hell out of Manila for one of the other fantastic Philippines destinations then this is the place for you.

Rooms are huge - if they ever do the joint up it will be a very nice to place to stay and spend time in. For now, it does all it needs to and you can't really expect a whole lot more for the price.

Room tip: Two rooms on 19th. Both very large (actually quite oversized) and they were fine. You could probably host 20 people and have a hell of a piss up - the noise certainly won't annoy anyone more than any of the rest.

One night on the way to Cebu. The lobby and the breakfast buffet p 250 is very good. Eggs made to order. Waffles soups and rice etc. Coffee, tea. Fresh fruit. Room 1814, aged but large and clean. Beds good too. A/C works and view of the trains. Friendly helpful staff. Internet in lobby on 15th floor. Take a licensed taxi. Poor neighborhood for another 10 years.

We stayed here the night before flying home. it was very convenient as we had just got off the bus from Batangas after being in puerto galera. The bus station is literally across the street - the only problem is actually crossing the street as it was very busy traffic.

The hotel is clean but very dated and the room as definitely the largest hotel room I have ever stayed in. We were very high up (21st floor I think) which is a good job because the traffic noises are very loud. The service from the staff was very good. We didn't eat in the hotel so cannot comment on the food.

We left very early in the morning for our flight and it was very easy to get a taxi from the main st. It took only 10 mins to the airport and the driver put the fare on the meter too. I think this could be a very good hotel if the rooms were updated but if you can get this hotel at a reasonable price then i would certainly recommend it.

The Atrium is a budget Hotel close to Manila Bay , Mall Of Asia and on the way to the Airport . I stayed at the Atrium with my girlfriend for two weeks . On arrival we decided to order 2 cappacino's from the cafe downstairs the man who made them had no idea and they came out like a hot soup I paid for them and never went back to that cafe during our trip . This was the start of a terrible stay . The photos on the internet are fake .. the room we stayed in was dirty , run down & the furniture was from the 60's . The balcony had black soot on the floor it was from the pollution from the main road . The bathroom was falling to pieces and the water was brown . Going for a shower was a race not to lose hot water as it lasted a few minutes until it went cold . DON'T waste your time complaining to staff they don't care their answer is yes Sir yes Mam BUT they do little to make your stay a nice one . This hotel needs a good clean inside and out , new furniture , paint job , maintenance and a total pest control . It is in a very busy part of Pasay so BEWARE what taxis you travel with make sure you go with a taxi that is sign written and NOT take a plain looking taxi and when going out DO NOT wear jewellery walking the streets at night it is dangerous be careful the Philippines is a poor country and people do desperate things to get money ! There is NO WAY in the world we would stay at the Atrium again there are better places !

Room tip: find a better room at a better hotel there are 100's better than the Atrium
