“Excellent Price for Older Hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2012

The price for a 2 bedroom suite was less than comparable hotels charge for one room. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There is a PAGCOR casino in the lobby. This hotel starts on the 15th floor of the building, the lobby, restaurant, casino and bar are on the 15th floor and room floors extend above. The hotel is within one block of an MRT station for easy access. Upsides: Excellent rates. Good location near MRT, restaurants, and short taxi ride to Mall of Asia. Clean and adequately equipped rooms. Reasonable prices for food that tastes good. Mini bar prices reasonable and mini bar well stocked with beverages. Downsides: somewhat older hotel in need of updating. Brown water in toilet bowl due to "deep underground wells". Hot water doesn't last long when it's running. A bit noisy, even 20 or so floors from the street.

This is a older Hotel with a lot of work to be done to it.

I stayed there in 2011 Sept with my partner for 14 nights and we both found it to be old and needs repair.

The over all experience that I can say if your after a hotel on a Budget than look at this one also.

I have to say all staff were nice and friendly towards myself and partner at all times and there are security on several levels throughout the day and night watching the floors.

Ground floor has security and service staff to help if needed.

Front desk up stairs needs more customer service training and learn to smile more as there face to face.

Breakfast once and once only - why you ask, cold and more oil in it than my car.

JB's down stairs with Pizza shops and KFC not far away.

Overall I would stay there again but I like to move and experience other hotels and write reviews now on good and bad service and security / risks.

Transport - No issues there, Train, Bus Station down stairs and Taxis outside the front door.

Safety issue - Local flooding outside front doors with bad storms in this area !!!

Thanks for reading my review !!!

Room Tip: I requested and stayed on the top floor and lucky that I did due to early morning noise of traffic a...

We stayed at Atrium for 3 nights last May 19-21, the suites are big which is needed if you have a big entourage like us. The staff we're all good except for the guys in the lobby, they're always watching your every move. I supposed because of the area, it is needed.
On the day that we checked out, we asked the porter to get us a taxi and one of the staff in the lobby kept pushing for us to hire the hotel van instead for 500 pesos, i know it is cheap but we put our foot down and waited for a taxi, only cost us 150 pesos plus tip to the driver and we got to the airport with plenty of time. The line to go inside the airport is another story!
The hotel itself is not bad, the rooms are huge but maybe if they could clean the bathroom a bit more thorough to get rid of the moulds, that would be wonderful!

Room Tip: Corner suites are good, request a room with a view of the harbor!

We booked Atrium Hotel via Expedia as it was one of the few hotels we could find that took our family of 4. We initially booked 5 nights for the start of our trip and rebooked it the last few nights of our holiday.

We booked a 2 bedroom suite and expected it to be like the photo on the website. We were very happy that the room was HUGE! It had two bedrooms and a lounge room. The girls bedroom consisted of a Queen Bed, window, air conditioner and bathroom (shower, toilet and basin). The lounge room had a small table and chairs, lounge suite, TV, Air conditioner, bar size fridge and balcony. The master bedroom had a King Size bed, balcony, air conditioner, TV, desk and a very large bathroom (bath, shower, toilet, basin and lots of room!). Our room (1820) overlooked the bay and had wonderful views - so request a room on that side. We could get internet but only in the lounge room but it worked well and log in details are available from reception. The rooms aren't perfect but they suited our needs! There might have been a bit of mould on the shower curtain but it was a great deal. Any little faults were only minor and we would have no hesitation to stay here again.

The location is excellent - 5 minute Jeepney Ride to Mall of Asia, Star City etc. Half hour taxi ride to Greenhills Shopping Centre. A quick train ride to many other areas. The train station is just behind the hotel so it is a quick walk to get to it. You can hear the trains, occasionally from the hotel, but because our room was on the opposite side you barely heard them. The bus stations are across the road and another is behind the train station. Very handy for getting the bus to Batangas Pier to go to the islands.

There are plenty of fast food restaurants around the hotel but not many sit down (more formal) restaurants. This wasn't an issue for us though. The first 3 floors of the Hotel complex are a little shopping centre. Bottom floor is mobile phone covers, dentist and some clothing, 2nd floor is some clothing and baggage shops, internet cafes and a wonderful hairdresser that is very cheap and very good, Top floor consists of some food places (Filipino food) and some great DVD stores.

One night we had trouble with the room due to an Expedia error NOT hotel error. We ended getting the room for a special rate which was cheaper than Expedia. The reception staff are very good and will fix any problem quickly and easily. If something needed fixing in the room, it was fixed very quickly!

The only thing we didn't like was the breakfast. Very limited and not to our liking. Lots of rice, fish, vegetables etc. Fruit was nice but no yogurt and no cereal!!

We can't wait to visit Manila again and stay at the Atrium Hotel!

Room Tip: Ask for a Bay View Room!

Had to stay overnite in Manila to catch my flight next day to province. Made reservations online. Very good price for room quality. Staff friendly, large rooms. Rooms very secure and comfortable and quiet. Only 10 minute drive from airport. For overnight stay and economy would highly recommend. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to check out. Took almost 15 minutes to have them check my room before I could go. If you get taxi ensure you get metered taxi and make sure the driver uses it. Enjoyed my stay.

We stayed at the Atrium for a few days in May 2012 and found it be quite good - spacious rooms with a balcony - pretty clean, cable TV is good and the service is very good. The breakfast is a bit ordinary but its close to plenty of other cafes and also close to MRT railway service. On the down side no safe is available in the room but the air con works fine, plenty of hot water in the shower. Cheap rates via the internet.
