“Good location, old hotel”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2013

I have been staying in heritage over the past 10 years and sadly from being a grand hotel close to the airport, it is now just looking tired. The rooms badly need some work. The carpet and fixtures just look old. The staff are always friendly specially in restaurants, breakfast is quite good. The hotel is very close to the airport and Mall of Asia, and they have free shuttle service to the mall. One thing that I don't like though is while I was sitting in the lobby doing interviews for half day. I saw at least 20 prostitutes with a foreign guy pass by at the lobby while cheapens the place.

Due to poor planning I had a overnight in Manila. I was looking for a place near the airport but with access to places so I could utilize my unexpected visit to Manila. Heritage was reasonably priced and seemed to fit the bill. A taxi from the airport was 295 pesos (give or take $7) and took about 30 minutes (on the meter). I had booked via Expedia 2 hours before arriving and check-in was smooth and the included breakfast was confirmed at check-in. The lobby is grand, I had a non-smoking room with two queen beds (I do believe the size was closer to single, but that's a minor quibble as I was alone anyway). The rooms are certainly not as one would say modern but have all the comforts.

I took a taxi to Intramuros, which set me back about 150 pesos. took about 20 minutes. Mall of Asia is about 10 minutes away and the hotel runs a free shuttle.

All in all a great visit, staff was helpful in getting me taxis and making sure they used the meter. Taxi to the airport in the morning took about 15 minutes and cost 120 pesos.

Room Tip: I had a room on the back facing Roxas Street rather the busy EDSA

Stayed here one night, it has s quite as expensive and beyond the lobby it is all a bit dated. Bed was massive but the entire hotel used to look like it was something special, not know. Staff were good but it doesn't tak two staff members to bring up bags unless they are looking for a tip of course.

A good place to stay if you want a handy location away from the traffic of Makati. This is the first time I've stayed at this place and in general it was fine. The hotel is certainly not new and some of the features definitely need updating. A decent price and a good location. As I was only staying for 2 nights it wasn't worth the effort venturing into Makati. Comparing against previous stays in Makati The Heritage Hotel is good.

Conveniently located close to the airport and appears to be frequented more by locals than by international travelers. At one time this was obviously a 4 star hotel but it is now "long in the tooth" and in dire need of renovation. While the room was clean, the furnishings were well worn and in the hallways cans were strategically placed to collect water from the leaking roof. OK for a traveller staying one night while in transit but would not recommend for longer stay. Walking distance to the EDSA entertainment complex.

Location was considered good as it is situated near the hotel.

Was upgraded to Executive level. The room is big & spacious. Free flow to the drinks and there is a separate serving of breakfast at the Executive level.

However, i found a small cockroach in the bathroom immediately after check-in. The cleanliness of the bedsheets & towels are alright.

The daily breakfast serving was similar throughout my three days stay. The hotel need to review on the variety as we find it bored to have all our meals at the restaurants.

I got stuck in Manila overnight when my connecting flight was cancelled due to bad weather and chose the Heritage hotel because it wasn't too far from the airport. And also because I was in a bad mood and wanted something comfortable.

The Heritage didn't disappoint. A great standard 4 star hotel. Nice, good sized rooms with excellent wifi connection. The food in the restaurant was also really tasty (although we ate here because there was nothing else reasonable within walking distance). Would recommend to anyone stuck in Manila for a night or for visiting on business.
