It was my first time in this hotel. Lobby has great interiors. Hermes bag are on display, microfiber lights are spectacular. Very modern.

We stayed at the executive room and was surprised by the toiletries made for by BLVGARI. Very functional room in such a small space. Comfy beds and pillows. Bad thing they don't have a pool to relax on, but I heard its under construction in the penthouse.

Buffet breakfast is good. Low ceiling restaurant but food choices are great. Easy access to Mall of Asia and transportation.

We stayed at Midas one night while in transit. Very nice stay. Our room was lovely and very clean and comfortable. We had a snack in the lobby bar and it was good. We had dinner in the Japanese restaurant and enjoyed it very much. The service was terrific. We would definitely stay here again.

I stayed there twice, first at the executive floor because it was a walk in check in so i understand, on the 2nd time I brought my wife and my 2 kids with me and I was given a de luxe room and upon checked in my wife so a cockroach so this was immediately reported as we cannot stayed in such place because of our babies, we were transferred but it took forever as in 4 hours of waiting. Staff are helpful but front desk are like robots they lack of human touch to the clients. Food is ok and they have casino but no swimming pool. Apart from that the hotel is strategic because of its location, very accessible and taxi are always available.

Room Tip: Choose deluxe as they resemble the interior of the executive room.

I booked a overnight say in a deluxe room for my Mom was coming over in the city to visit me. Upon checking in we went before 2pm which is the check in time, I was told in the reception area that room was not yet available and so we were told to just stay relax in the lobby. In the lobby we were given welcome drinks (cold ice tea) to freshen up. I was just really delighted with the lobby interior and decor. Going back to the reception area to ask if we could now check in, I was told that our room has been upgraded from deluxe to Executive!! and that's free of charge! The room was spacious, has a balcony..everything in the room was just great! the toiletries, the beddings.. the buffet breakfast was also great! All staffs were nice and friendly, We'll definitely go back!

I stayed here twice; once in their deluxe rooms and once in their executive rooms. The deluxe rooms are nice; almost all with balconies and with a ceiling fan that allows for better circulation of air in the humid Philippine atmosphere. The executive rooms are good although i would have wanted the same ceiling fan there. The furniture is more modern in the executive rooms but i loved the antique, filipino style decor in the deluxe rooms.

The buffet breakfast is great although the area has low ceiling which makes it feel a bit crowded although its not. The food is great, however, and I especially liked that there is congee available and the choices are wide; salads, rice and viands, cereals, breads, hotcakes and crepes, etc.

What sets this hotel apart are its toiletries. Ole London toiletries in its deluxe rooms (which smell heavenly) and bulgari in its executive rooms (which is even better). I would keep on coming back if only for these.

Room Tip: Get a room with a balcony.

Stayed in this hotel a week ago. I was impressed by how the lobby looks like, very stylish and even the corridor going to the rooms. I liked how the walls look like, very Asian.

When I enter my room, I was surprised how spacious it was! There were 2 beds, LCD TV, a desk for writing and another relaxing chair. Even the bathroom is ok, separate toilet bowl and there's bath tub. The closet looks fine also. I liked the wall behind the headboard, particularly how it lights up. Bedsheets very clean. Room has a nice smell. Accommodation was around 5,000pesos+.

The food was just ok. I ordered Pinakbet for dinner and Creme Brulee in my room. Breakfast I ordered Daing na Bangus and fruits. Didn't try the buffet breakfast so I can't say if it was good or not.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very sensitive if they see you need assistance,

A tip, make sure that you specifically request for a room facing Manila Bay so you can watch the magnificent sunset.

All in all, this is another ok hotel.

This is my 2nd choice hotel when I'm in Philippines for business (stayed here since the other hotel was fully booked). Hotel room was ok but the service was terrible. For my last stay, I was made to wait for the hotel shuttle at the airport for almost an hour citing that there was no request made for a pick-up. Hotel is just a 20mins drive away from the airport, hence I don't understand the hour wait. I was finally picked-up in a passenger van that I had to pay PHP1500!! For that price, I get picked up by a luxury car from my primary hotel choice. Performance of the reservation team needs to be improved!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Midas Hotel and Casino is the newest design-led lifestyle hotel situated along Roxas Boulevard at the coast of Manila Bay. The hotel is flocked by the Japanese Embassy and San Juan de Dios Hospital. It faces the Bay, a few meters from the intersection of Roxas Boulevard and EDSA. In the tradition of excellence set by the building's former occupants, The Sheraton, Savoy Philippines and Hyatt Regency Manila, this 225-room hotel continues to be THE venue for creating fond memories. Certain details of the original structure have been kept and integrated into the redesign of the building's interiors, creating a fusion of the past and the present in perfect harmony. In the chic and spacious hotel lobby, floor-to-ceiling adobe stone walls and pillars have been layered with chrome and crystals providing a stunning backdrop to its luxurious Italian designer furniture; while a fiber optic chandelier, possibly the only one of its kind in the Philippines, lends dramatic illumination. Throughout the hotel, this statement of modern glam and luxury is carried out in every detail. Midas forward-looking rooms and suites are carefully appointed, chic and have the feel of modern glam. All are pleasantly furnished natural fabrics and are equipped with upscale amenities. Executive floor guests get to enjoy buffet cocktails at the Sunset Lounge from 4 pm to 8 pm while taking pleasure in the sight of the Metropolis. Midas also offers restaurants with first-rate options for opulent enjoyment, each set to weave its own taste of magic - the 2702 Lobby Lounge, Midas Cafe and Yanagi Japanese Restaurant. May it be an end-of-day glass of wine or a cocktail to jumpstart a promising evening, the 2702 Lobby Lounge is definitely the place to go to and be seen at. Aside from the wide selection of cocktails, shooters, liqueurs, wines, and hard spirits, the 2702 Lounge also offers tasty treats and nibbles that will complement whatever drink is at hand. Culinary masters converge at the Midas Cafe to offer guests the ultimate dining experience ever. If the mere sight of palatable items laid out in a long buffet line is already an indulgence, then sinking one's teeth to them can be nothing short of divine. Midas Cafe offers everything from authentic teppan and sushi dishes, to classic Filipino dishes with a modern twist. The contemporary Japanese style at its finest is Yanagi Japanese Restaurant located at the Mezzanine floor of the hotel lobby. Experience a variety of specialties, with a sushi and sashimi bar, a teppanyaki / hibachi station and a la carte dining.
